Steve My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen. O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm. You know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection. Amen. Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of those of us who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. I ask all the faithful to join together in praying the rosary to our Blessed Mother that the Lord will deliver us from this present danger. Bishop Serratelli Please return it when we resume Masses. During these days of Jesus’s Paschal Mystery the entire world has shared in Christ’s suffering and death on the Cross. Nowhere in history will you find any other religious leader, prophet, teacher, king or queen, promising you Eternal Life. Only Jesus makes you this PROMISE, FILLED WITH HOPE, when all else seems lost. Jesus is the only one who believes that you are so valuable you are even worth dying for...and so He does. When you look at the Crucifix you are looking at LOVE in action. Jesus has boldly invited you to climb up next to Him, emptying yourself of all worldly desires, and making room in your heart for only Him...for He is all you really need. Easter is YOUR moment, YOUR Great Love Story. God makes YOU His #1, placing you above all else. Now it is your turn to do the same for Him. THE RESURRECTION BEGAN WITH JESUS EMBRACING THE HOLY CROSS FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS. TODAY YOU SHARE IN HIS RESURRECTION, SINGING “ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA CHRIST HAS RISEN.” NOW THE RESURRECTED CHRIST IS EMBRACING YOU, HIS BELOVED EASTER CHILD…REJOICE FOR YOU ARE HIS GREATEST LOVE! Would you like to become Catholic or complete your Sacraments? Would you like to join the RCIA team? Please call Carol Mangani, 973-283-2218, for information.

Some folks at the parish have asked what they can do to help, this would be very helpful. I am a member of one of the advisory boards at Chilton Hospital and we’re asking for folks to make masks. The link below is to a video on how to make these masks. Any questions, please email Fr. Ed [email protected] https://www.atlantichealth.org/patients-visitors/donate-volunteer/donate-supplies-covid-19/make-facemask-help-covid-19.html?mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiTURFM01qSmtOalF4WlROaiIsInQiOiJKVnJGQjdvd1c4TmY0S2JlbUNZU0tnN3ZMaGUx

The Ladies Guild will be selling beautiful notecards with pictures of the OLM Church and Chapel. More information and order forms to follow.

Living through this unprecedented time, this Easter Season is an opportunity to reflect, in a way we have never reflected, on what we may have taken for granted. Daily we become more and more grateful for the ability to attend church, visit a neighbor, or pick up groceries at the store. Through your continued support we will be able to continue to shelter pregnant women and their babies, and help our former mothers and their children in their time of need. All this is possible thanks to your help, especially during uncertain times. Your compassion and generosity today will save countless babies’ lives. Please be as generous as you can. We continue to work hard to save as many innocent preborn as we possibly can in God’s Holy Name. Please call Several Sources to help our babies and mothers at 201-818-9033 or email www.severalsources.org

The shelves at the Fr. English Center are bare therefore donations of either gift cards or checks are appreciated. Donations can be made from the Fr. English website https://ccpaterson.org/donate. In the comment box indicate that the donation is for Father English. There are a lot of seniors who are afraid to go out and rely on him for delivery. If anyone would like to help him deliver, let Dave Puccia know (973-694-1955) and he will coordinate with Fr English. Understand that the deliveries will be in Paterson and social distancing protocol may be difficult.

First Reading: Acts 10:34a, 37-43 In this passage, Peter testifies that he and his followers saw the miracles performed by Christ, witnessed His death, and believe in His resurrection. Now they will proclaim to all that Christ is the Son of God.

Second Reading: Colossians 3:1-4 Paul tells the Colossians that they will appear with Christ in glory. They should be mindful of things above rather than things on earth. Gospel: John 20:1-9 In vivid detail, John tells us that when Mary Magdalene visited Christ’s tomb, the tomb was empty. She told the apostles, who ran to the tomb, and saw the “wrappings” on the ground. The disciple who entered first “saw and believed.”
