SHARE ST. LUCAS We encourage you to share the wor-
ship videos from our Facebook page to yours as a way to
spread the word about St. Lucas.
WELCOME BACK ST. LUCAS SCRIP GIFT CARDS We
are keeping on hand these gift cards from the scrip pro-
gram: 4 Speedway, 4 Meijer, 4 Walmart, 6 Circle K, and 2
Manhattans in $25 denominations. We are also keeping
on hand 5 Kroger cards in $50 denominations. If you
would like to purchase for your needs and to support the
Sunday School Window Fund email Pastor at pastorstlu-
[email protected] or call the office during office hours 10 -
1pm M-F. We will arrange for you to pick up your order &
drop payment inside the Sunday School doors. If you had
been placing a regular order, you may call Ron Bacon at
419-535-6765. He will place the order and get it to church
for you to pick up using same arrangement as above.
FACE MASK REQUEST Do you sew? Would you be willing
to sew some masks for our Cindy’s Corner workers and
anyone else who has a need for them? There are several
ideas, videos and patterns on YouTube with plenty of in-
structions. If this is something you can help with, please
call Pastor for a time you can deliver them to the church.
We have a box inside the door where you can leave any
donations. We will come pick them up. If you need masks
for your family, please let us know and we will share with
you.
CINDY'S CORNER CAFE AT DOOR LUNCH SERVICE
MONDAY-SATURDAY NOON-1PM We welcome donations
to assist with the at door lunch program: monetary dona-
tions, plastic grocery bags, Ziploc sandwich bags, big bags
of fresh fruit (apples, oranges, etc.), small (to fit in a brown
bag) bags of chips, pretzels, etc., individual drinks (water,
juice, pop). If you donate such items you may call the
church and drop them off during office hours (10am-1pm).
OFFERINGS Please send us your offering, since in-person
church is not available at this time. You may also drop your
off offering when pastor is there during the
Cindy’s Corner hours (around 10:00-1:00). Call
the office to let us know you are coming 419-243-
8189. Buzz the front door and we will buzz you in
to drop your offering inside the door, then we'll
come down and get it. Thanks to the many who
have mailed, dropped off or made electronic
offerings through our PayPal button on our
website: www.stlucastoledo.org.
135th ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE 2021 will
mark the 135th anniversary of the founding of St.
Lucas. We are putting together a committee to plan events
marking this blessed event. So far, Sharon Stofan and
Dave Jerman have volunteered to sit on the committee.
We need more servants. Please let us know by calling the
church office 419-243-8189 or emailing Pastor Billmeier to
let us know you will serve to plan for our 135th.
ALUMINUM CAN COLLECTION PROGRAM TERMINATED
Due to diminishing returns and space concerns we will no
longer be collecting aluminum cans as a fundraiser.
Thanks to all who have supported this effort over the years.
We do encourage you to continue to recycle your aluminum
cans, however, out of respect for the environment we all
share.
LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES OF NW OHIO will conduct
a drive-thru pantry to address safety concerns and encour-
age social distancing to those needing groceries. Clients
must call to pre-register at 419-243-9178. Pre-registration

ask you to create an account, but you can say no.
HOLY COMMUNION PROCEDURE At each weekend
service you will be given the opportunity to
receive the Sacrament. After the prayers,
peace and offering we will sign off and post
the first part of the service on Facebook.
Then we will sign back on live and proceed
with the Communion liturgy. You will need to
sign back on as well. We will not post the
Communion portion of the service, so that the
consecration will be live only. You are invited
to have a small amount of bread and a small
amount of wine (enough to consume at once)
prepared for the consecration. Bread only suffices if
you don’t wish to receive the wine. Please do not sub-
stitute anything for the bread and wine. Jesus promised
to be present in bread and wine, not any substitute. We
take him at his word and receive by faith.

RESTART OF IN PERSON CHURCH
We have had several folks express con-
cern about what it will look like when we
restart in person church activities.
Council president Brian Hoch has ap-
pointed Steve Seaton as the St. Lucas
“Restart Czar.” He will be gathering
information for a safest practice restart.
No firm date for restart has been estab-
lished as yet.
WRITTEN COPIES OF HOMILY AVAIL-
ABLE During the suspension of in per-

Gary have been faithful friends of St. Lucas
for many years. May our Lord grant hope
and peace in the resurrection to Lanny.
We prayed for Lori’s family last Sunday, but
did not report this in the Parish News:
We offer sympathy and prayers for
Lori Bowles and family at the death of
her cousin Tony Hubbard from cancer.
May he rest in peace.
We offer our sympathy and prayers for
Ron & Peggy Ramm and family at the sud-
den death at age 39 of their son, Keith, at
home on May 1. A private service in accord
with coronavirus protocols was held on May
7. May resurrection hope and the pres-
ence of Jesus comfort them. We have had
requests for the Ramm’s address to send
cards: 2520 Foraker, Toledo, OH 43609
We offer sympathy & prayers for Deb
LaJeunesse, who sings in the St. Lucas
choir, at the death of her mother on May 2.
May resurrection hope sustain Deb and her
family.
Soli Deo Gloria!
