SCOTS COLLEGE INTERSCHOOLS
EQUESTRIAN CHALLENGE
Adele Tropeano represented the school at The Scots College Interschool’s Equestrian
Challenge which was held on 4-5 May at the Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre. The two day
challenge consisted of show ring events, dressage, stockman’s challenge and two rounds of
show jumping, with ribbons given out to 6th place and points earned for our school for each
ribbon won.
Adele had a fantastic weekend representing GEPS, coming home with the following awards in the Primary age division. 4th Ridden Show Horse

4th Phase 2 Show Jumping
YEAR 3 & 5 NAPLAN TESTS Year 3 and Year 5 students will complete the National Literacy and Numeracy tests (NAPLAN) between 14-24 May. These tests provide us with important information to support teaching and learning programs. This year for the first time students will complete the NAPLAN tests online.
P & C MEETING The P& C will hold their next meeting on Thursday 9 May 2019 at 7.30pm in the school staffroom. All parents are welcome to attend.

POSSUM MAGIC
Students in Kindergarten to Year 2 will have the opportunity to attend Monkey Baa Theatre Company’s “Possum Magic” performance at Griffith Regional Theatre on Friday 17 May 2019 (Week 3 Term 2). This excursion has been planned to supplement the following work being done in the classroom: Literacy, personal and social capabilities; critical and creative thinking; sustainability. The cost of this excursion is $13.00 per child. Children will depart the school at 9.30am and return by 11.30am. Please return notes and money to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible. Payment can be made online using the reference 170519.
The NRL Game Development Teams new League Stars Program is coming to Griffith for 8 weeks in Term 2! This program is open to students aged 5 to 12 and costs only $99 per participant! The League Stars program caters for children of all abilities and is a non-contact program focusing on developing fundamental movement skills run by experienced NRL development coaches. Every participant will receive a cool League Stars pack which will include a backpack, ball, ball pump, shirt and stickers. The program will be run on Fridays - 5pm to 6pm, kicking off on the 17th May. SRC MOTHERS DAY
RAFFLE The SRC will be raffling a beautiful doll and basket generously donated by Pam Cheers & Lyn Watson. Tickets are 50c each and will be available from the SRC at recess until Friday. The raffle will be drawn at the Infants Assembly on Friday at 12.30pm.
