    Professor Todd Henry of UCSD will speak on"Queer Lives as Cautionary Tales: FemaleSame-Sex Weddings in the Hetero-Patriarchal Imagination of Authoritarian SouthKorea." Part of larger book project, thispresentation examines the role that newspaperweeklies (chuganji) played in establishing the

    normative boundaries of cultural citizenship in Cold War South Korea. This event is co-sponsored by the Korean Humanities Group, Department of History, Department of AmericanStudies & Ethnicity, The One Archives and the East Asian Studies Center.
