Founded by the Marangoni brothers in the ’50s as atyre retreading company, the Marangoni grouptoday is an industrial Group of Companies organ-ised into 6 different business areas:• Car, commercial and earth-moving retread pro-
duction• Retreading materials production and systems
technology• The manufacture of machines and equipment for
new tyre and retread production• Car & commercial vehicle new tyre production• New industrial/lift truck tyre production• Tyre distribution.
Wide-ranging interactions among the group’sdiverse business areas have generated extensive
technological, production and sales know-how thatcovers the various levels of the tyre value chain.
The group manages all the activities involved in thetyre’s entire life cycle: from material production todisposal-based energy recovery plants.
Within the group, Marangoni Pneumatici is the com-pany that specialises in the retreading of tyres forcars, 4x4 vehicles, delivery vans, trucks and earth-moving machinery, in one of the industry’s largestfactory, with its circa 100.000 mq, situated in thenorth of Italy (Rovereto - Trento), in the heart of theMittelEurope. This company’s real core businessrevolves around the highly specialised industrialvehicle tyre and earth-moving sector, in which cus-tomer needs must be satisfied by offering reliableas well as high quality products and services.
Marangoni Pneumatici is an acknowledged industryleader for both quality and safety thanks to itsadvanced R&D department’s dedication to process-es and products, its casings monitored by comput-
er technology and its state-of-the-art retreadingtechnologies as well as its fast, reliable and com-plete customer service.
The Earth-Moving business unit is dedicated to theretreading of tyres for all the earth-moving andindustrial service application.

Certified qualityThe use of quality procedures has becomeMarangoni’s corporate philosophy at all levels. Thishas been demonstrated by the quality certificationUNI EN ISO 9001:2000 and the environmentalmanagement system UNI EN ISO 14001:2004.
Only Marangonioffers 5 yearsof total guaranteeThe total guarantee covers Earth-Moving tyresretreaded by Marangoni, against any fault that maybe attributed either to the manufacturing process orto the quality of the materials used.
A tyre which has been claimed defective will beinspected by Marangoni Pneumatici’s specialisedtechnicians of the analysis laboratory, and if:• no more than 5 years have passed since the man-
ufacture date;• non evidence of flaws is detected due to incor-
rect usage, impacts, sharp-edges objects;• the tyre has received regular maintenance,
then, Marangoni will proceed:• to retread the tyre, if deemed possible
or• to credit the remaining value of the tyre, which is
calculated in proportion to the wear of the tread(when casing conditions do not allow retreading).
Marangoni Pneumatici can make this commitmentbecause of high technical standards of production, being internationally recognised and to the usageof high quality materials.
Tyre disposalMarangoni pays close attention to market demandsincluding the identification of the critical issues suchas tyre collection and disposal. The tyres are dis-posed in a technologically advanced and environmen-tally conscious manner. Within Marangoni’s
specialised plant inRovereto, the tyres areburned to create electri-cal power, and thereforerecycled in compliancewith European Unionguidelines.

Important• Tyres retreaded with suggested patterns must be
used matching the load index and the speedsymbol of the original casing, except if otherwisespecified.
• All Marangoni retreaded tyres will keep the sametechnical features of the original casing, in termsof load capacity, speed and overall comfortwhen casings are retreaded using patternsequivalent to the original in terms of tread depthand application.
• Tyres retreaded on L5 type must bemanufactured only on L5 casing.

Markings and size designationsEarth-Moving tyres are classified upon the Aspect Ratio of the tyre size:
StandardThe Height is ca. 100% of the Section (H/S=100 – H/S=0,95): the Sectionwidth in inches is a whole number.
Example: 16.00-25 16.00 X 25section width rim diameter
(inches) (inches)
Wide baseThe Height is ca. 80% of the Section (H/S = 0,80): the Section width ininches is a whole number followed by a fraction.
Example: 26.5-25 26.5 X 25section width rim diameter
(inches) (inches)
Example: 33.25-35 33.25 X 35section width rim diameter
(inches) (inches)
Low ProfileThe Height is ca. 65% / 75% of the Section (H/S = 0,65 – H/S = 0,70): theSection width in inches or mm. is a whole number followed by the number65/70.

• Keep the tyres clean away from heat, light, ozoneor hydrocarbon sources
• Avoid prolonged exposure of the tyres to directsunlight
• Avoid any contact whit grease, petrol, volatile sol-vents or other substances that may deteriorate therubber
• Avoid horizontal storage• Reduce inflation pressure when tyres are stored

Four-season pattern with sipes on blocks andexcellent traction on snow and ice; reducing theneed for snow chains, recommended for wheelcrane and special high speed machine.
Note: If the tyre sent to us for retrea-ding is for a wheel crane or aspecial high speed machine (likefire engines), it must be indica-ted so to allow us to point it outto our production.Indeed, for this kind of applica-tion we have to use a com-pound different from thestandard one that we normallyuse for this type of retreading.
Note: This pattern for wheel cranes isrecommended only for a localuse and NOT for long-haulroads and motorways.

Symmetric tread design, particularly suitablefor use on rocky ground and for heavy-dutyapplications. The special tread compoundcombines good resistance to cuts, impactsand tearing with optimal hourly performance.Excellent for applications in which the use ofchains is necessary.
MINE
Non-directional and specially protected treadpattern. Built with a special compound in orderto obtain the highest resistance to cuts andimpacts, and an optimum hourly performance. The smooth central part guarantees a very widecontact area with the ground. The buttresses onthe shoulder area ensure excellent traction.
