The first time that Earth day was celebrated was on April 22 in 1970. It was celebrated by Gaylord Nelson. Some people think of Earth Day as the Earth’s birthday. On Earth Day some people like plant trees.

• The Earth is an amazing planet. It provides all the things that we need and more! That is why you need to save the Earth. The Earth is an amazing thing! It gives you food, air, water, and much more! Plant trees to get more fresh air and fresh fruit!

What is a compost pile and what does it do?

• When you make a compost pile you are taking things that will decay and putting them in a pile outside. Then when they decay you have very good soil. You can plant things in this very good soil. You don’t need to buy soil because you can make your own! Do this by digging a hole. Then put things like rotton food, and things that will decay. Then take the soil that it makes and plant things in it!

What can you do to help the Earth?

• To help the Earth you can plant things like trees, and other plants. You can plant a garden~ that will also save money!

When I looked up how many people celebrate Earth Day I found that 54% of the earth does.

Why we need to plant trees…

• We need to plant trees because they give us fresh air to breathe. Trees give us shade during the summer, they make great places to build forts in, and trees are fun to climb in and to hide from other people. So as you can see trees are very important!
