Earning Money Online

There are lots of ways to earn money online. Many websites offer you money, gift cards, prizes or rewards points that convert into cash. Best of all you don’t usually need any special skills to join.

There are websites that pay you to complete surveys, try products, go shopping or even just watch videos or TV shows. The amounts paid are modest ranging from a few pence to a couple of pounds depending on the website, but over time it can soon add up for a nice monthly “cushion”. Using a particular “skill” will often earn you more.

Most websites need an email address to send you details of current money making opportunities. It’s best to set up a separate email account from the one you use for friends and family, otherwise you will soon be flooded with online offers. It is worthwhile to keep checking your new email box regularly to see what new opportunities have been sent to you.

You will also need a way of being paid; most sites prefer to use PayPal for payments. It is easy to set up and is a safe way to have any money earned immediately transferred to your bank account, without having to give your bank details online.

For all the sites you will need to fill in a registration form answering questions about your lifestyle, age, buying habits and more. This helps to target more accurately the types of surveys you are asked to take part in.

It’s important to remember that no legitimate site will ask you to pay to join up.

REMEMBER! When creating an online account with any company, keep your username and password secure and do not share them with anyone. Companies will never email you to ask for your username or password, if you receive emails asking you to confirm these details, it is best to delete them, as they are very unlikely to be genuine.

The internet has opened up opportunities for many people to earn money online. Often no specific skills are needed, just access to a laptop, tablet or smartphone. Many websites offer money, gift cards, prizes or rewards points that can be converted into cash. There are sites that pay for completing surveys, trying products, shopping or even just watching videos. The amounts paid are modest ranging from a few pence to a couple of pounds but over time it can soon add up.

As in the real world, clients need to be aware of scam sites and should not give their personal details without checking out the site first. Ideally it is best to use reputable sites like The Money Shed or MoneySavingExpert.com to find money making opportunities. These sites have numerous forums discussing the best and worst sites and those to avoid at all costs. Alternatively copying and pasting the name of the website into a search engine like Google should bring up more information about the site.

No reputable site will ever ask for payment up front. All the opportunities we have listed are free to join.

It is important that clients set up a separate email address to use, otherwise they will soon be flooded with details of money making opportunities. PayPal is the most widely used form of payment on these sites. It is easy to set up and is a safe way to have any money earned transferred immediately to clients’ own bank accounts, without having to give their bank details online.

For all the sites clients will need to fill in a registration form, answering various questions about lifestyle, age, buying habits and more. This helps to target more accurately the types of survey they will be asked to take part in.

Clients should realise that it can take time to do surveys; as a rule the longer it takes the bigger the rewards offered.
