Attend class 1 evening per week while working full time.

Classes are designed to teach the theory and code that every electrician must know.

8,000 hours of experience is required to take the Journeyman exam.

Perform work on electrical systems, including lighting installation, mechanical connections, power supplies, communications, and security systems.

Journeyworker may perform electrical work on residential, commercial or industrial structures. They may decide to go into construction, manufacturing or one of many other career options.

Own your own business...

Collaborate with customers while planning and laying out electrical projects.

Supervise a crew of electrical apprentices and journeyworker on commercial, industrial or residential jobs. Check the crews work for quality and compliance with industry codes.

Average estimated salary range = $25, - $38,000 per year

Average estimated salary range = $40, - 70,000 per year

Average estimated salary range = $70, - and higher per year
