Course Information:The 2015 New York State Energy Conservation Code (NYSECCC) represents a sizeable step to more energy efficient structures. It will result in morecomfortable, healthy, and efficient structures but at what cost? This seminar will explore the changes from the 2010 code and the upcoming 2015 code.It will examine cost efficient construction practices to ensure compliance and explain the building science behind the practices. Understanding the newcode and its options can present opportunities to build better structures and increase consumer satisfaction.

Course Information:High Performance, or Green Homes, whether new or remodeled, are gaining in popularity and growing in their share of the market. This session willexplore the characteristics and construction practices that yield a High Performance Home. It will explore the principles behind the practices that yield amore comfortable, more durable, more efficient, and healthier home. Studies have consistently shown these practices increase these and this session willexplore ways to define the benefits to build value. The differing major certification programs and their benefits will be discussed along with the role of thenumerous incentives available to builders, remodelers, and homeowners.
