early years professional status (eYPs)Fromseptember2008,theearlyYearsFoundationstage(eYFs)becomesstatutory.soitisvitalthatleadersareinplacetoenablechange.theGovernmenthasintroducedtwonewtargetstobereachedby2015toensurethebenefitsofthisframeworkreachallearlyyearschildren.theseare:
tohaveaneYPs(whoisorworkingtowardsbecomingagraduate)toleadpracticeinallfulldaycaresettingsandplayservices.Fundswillprioritisegroupsintheprivate,independentandvoluntarydaycaresectorallstafftobequalifiedtoLevel3.
