CAMBODIA & LAOS The Borje Wallberg Large Gold Medal Collection. I had not realised just how rare and scarce the Cambodia and more especially, Laos markings really are till I started to search wherever I could to help Borje Wallberg in building this collection. It is acknowledged that taking account of the whole of Indo-China postal history, Cambodia would probably represent not more than 10% of available material. Laos would probably represent again only 10% of this, that is, probably a mere 1% of known items! It is therefore clear how difficult it is to achieve even the bones of a good basic collection of this region. Borje Wallberg has spent many years intensively searching around the world for suitable material. He is to be heartily congratulated on achieving such a remarkable ensemble. This is the first time in my records that an extensive and comprehensive Cambodia and/or Laos collection is offered on the market and no doubt the results of this sale will form a base of reference and values for the future. It will probably be a very long time before another opportunity like this arises. David Feldman, Geneva, March 2002

CAMBODIA & LAOSThe Borje Wallberg Large Gold Medal Collection.

I had not realised just how rare and scarce the Cambodia and more especially, Laos markings really are till I started to search wherever I could to helpBorje Wallberg in building this collection. It is acknowledged that taking account of the whole of Indo-China postal history, Cambodia would probably representnot more than 10% of available material. Laos would probably represent again only 10% of this, that is, probably a mere 1% of known items!

It is therefore clear how difficult it is to achieve even the bones of a good basic collection of this region. Borje Wallberg has spent many years intensivelysearching around the world for suitable material. He is to be heartily congratulated on achieving such a remarkable ensemble.

This is the first time in my records that an extensive and comprehensive Cambodia and/or Laos collection is offered on the market and no doubt the resultsof this sale will form a base of reference and values for the future. It will probably be a very long time before another opportunity like this arises.
