Activity DescriptionAblation procedures have advanced considerably in recent years, but there has been little change in post-procedure workow, ambulation or length of stay. AMBULATE IMPACT is a recently completed study that examines today’s workow following ablation procedures – with a focus on where opportunities exist to improve the patient experience as well as hospital economics. In the study, representative workows are proled and national cost data is examined. A distinguished panel of physicians, led by Dr. Andrea Natale, will present and lead a discussion on the study ndings as well as experience from their own institutions. The results of the AMBULATE IMPACT study are being presented here for the rst time.

Target AudienceThis activity has been developed to meet the educational needs of electrophysiologists, and other physicians and associated healthcare professionals who perform AF ablations.

Learning ObjectivesUpon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

    • Evaluate the benets and challenges of early ambulation for AF ablations. • Understand data from the AMBULATE IMPACT study and other clinical data regarding workow

in the AF ablation setting.• Assess the current state and discuss the future of AF ablation workow.

Commercial Support This activity is supported through the sponsorship of Cardiva Medical, Inc.

Educational Statement This live educational activity is designed as an interactive learning experience evaluating the benets and challenges of early ambulation and potential same-day discharge for AF Ablation patients, but is not accredited for continuing medical education credits.
