CHALLENGE A small team of internal system experts had successfully managed their bank’s IT through several years of growth; but now that growth and the increasing amount of regulation posed some challenges that required outside help. Among other requirements, they searched for a resource who could supply a robust services system with multiple solutions for rapid growth, especially with regards to the complexity of commission structures, maintaining compliance, and managing referrals. They selected a reliable partner with industry expertise and fast response times.
They chose EAI Information Systems.
The key challenges of this collaborative effort were to (1) eliminate the overwhelming amount of manual time the client was spending on compliance, (2) integrate the collection of commission data from dozens of sources, and (3) develop a streamlined referral process that leveraged all the bank’s information to gain investment customers and increase wallet share.
SOLUTION After building a mutually strong partnership between key members of the bank’s and EAI’s development team, the customization and implementation of EAI’s modules for Compliance, Commissions and Referral Management proceeded. The new modules allowed this large regional bank to:
Compliance
• Identify and develop all compliance red flags, and automate them.• Provide consistent and timely reporting and distribution.
Commissions
• Integrate over 35 daily commission-related feeds into the EAI Data Management Vault to support a multi-tier payout grid.
• Consolidate and customize reports for easy access, distribution, and most important, capturing vital information on one report.
Referrals
• Develop a defined, comprehensive, and scalable referral program.• Build the referral system by integrating it into the bank system.
RESULTAfter the implementation, greater efficiencies were measured. Their system had:
Onsite and Online
• Minimized report clutter while consistently meeting commission deadlines with accurate payout information.
• Streamlined the large number of data feeds with multiple outside vendors.
