Room Selection for the 2019-20 academic year willtake place in Eaglesnest Housing. Please take some time to visit the Residence Life website (winthrop.edu/reslife) and click on theEAGLESNEST button. Included on this website are detailedinstructions and other resources. If you have any questions, our staff is available to help!

There are two phases during Eaglesnest room selection.You must complete phase one before attempting room selection in Phase Two.

Phase One - ApplicationItems to Note― In Phase One you will establish PIN, update roomatepreferences, select a meal plan, and sign contract.

― Do not wait until the day you are selecting a room tocomplete Phase One.

Phase Two - Select Room.Items to Note― Access Eaglesnest Housing through the link in Wingspan.Log in and select EAGLESNEST HOUSING under STUDENT TOOLS, then scroll down to Eaglesnest Room Selec-tion.

― Richardson, Phelps, and Lee Wicker will be open for breaks (excluding Summer break and Winter break).

― You may select a room only once during Phase Two.

― Members of your roommate/suitemate group need to be eligible to sign up on the same day as you.

― Read the 2019-2020 residence hall contract/lease,available online.

Phase One - PIN, and Roommate/SuitematesOnce logged in, click on the appropriate PHASE ONE button.Follow the instructions on the screen.PINEstablish a PIN. Keep it simple and brief (we suggestlimiting to no more than 4 characters). The PIN is used forthe logged in member of a roommate/suitemate group topull in the others in Phase Two.Important Note for Roommate/Suitemates― If you are planning to select a room with a roommate orsuitemates, only one person in that group logs in duringPhase Two. The roommate/suitemates will be pulled in bythe person who logged in.― Members of the roommate/suitemate group must haveeach other’s PIN plus either ID number (recommended) or firstand last name (exact spelling).

Phase Two - Room Selection, Three OptionsThere are three different ways to select a room in Eaglesnest.Use the option that works best for your situation.Each option occurs on a different date. See “ImportantDates” on the back for details. Remember, you may onlyselect a room once.Same Room (Only for those who have not fulfilled the2-year academic live on requirement) You may select the room in which you currently reside. Only you and your current roommate are eligible to select your current room.Roommate Pull-In For residents who completed same roomselection, and whose roommates did not, and wants to pull in aroommate.Suite Fill-All For suites in Lee Wicker, Thomson, or Phelps, and if you have a group of 4 who can fill all four beds in the suite. If you do not have a group of 4, you will not be able to complete the Eaglesnest process during Suite fill-all. Space is limited. If you log on to Eaglesnest during Suite Fill-All and you cannot fill a suite, some full suites will be available during General Room Selection.General Room Selection You can select from availablerooms in Lee Wicker, Margaret Nance, Phelps, Richardson,Thomson, or Wofford. You can select individually or with aroommate and/or suitemates.

Important Dates

Week of Feb. 11th - Current residents will receive an email in their Winthrop email account with Eaglesnest Information and General Room Selection individual access time.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 11th (phase one) Application, establish PIN, select a meal plan, sign contract.

Those who need to fulfill the 2-year live-on requirement. Includes first, second,and third semester students, Winthrop Fellowsscholarship recipients, and full-scholarshipathletes:

Thursday, Feb. 21st - Same RoomFriday, Feb. 22nd - Roommate Pull-In(Groups must meet in the Residence Life Office)Tuesday, Feb. 26th - Men Suite Fill-All.Starts at 11AM.Thursday, Feb. 28th - Women Suite Fill-All. Starts at 11AM.Tuesday, Mar. 5th - General Room Selection (Men) Ends Wednesday, Mar. 6th at 6PM.Thursday, Mar. 7th - General Room Selection (Women) Ends Friday, Mar. 8th at 6pm.

Those who have fulfilled the 2-year live-on requirement and those currently beyond their third semester at Winthrop:

Tuesday, Mar. 19th - Suite Fill-All.Women start at 11AM. Men start at 11:30AM. Ends at midnight for both.Thursday, Mar. 21st - General Room SelectionWomen start at 11AM. Men start at 11:30AM.Both end Friday, Mar. 22nd at 6PM.

Make sure to be prepared for Eaglesnest room selection. Review all of the relevant catogories to make the choice that best fits your needs. Please be aware that your first choice of room and residence hall may not be available. Be ready with a variety of options for room selection.

If planning to go through with roommate/suitemates, make sure all members of your group have completed phase one. Know who will be the person pulling everyone else in. That person will need to know all of the group members’ PIN. Make sure all members have completed Phase One

Students will be able to access Eaglesnest from their owncomputer, or assistance will be available in Phelps Computer Lab during Suite Fill-All and General Room Selection times. Go to theEaglesnest website for up-to-date lab schedules.
