Peyronie’s disease is a serious problem in modern medicine. That’s why further study of thisdisease, development of new and effective therapeutic methods, and their application in the real clinicalpractice are required. This problem is becoming especially actual because of the disease case increaseduring the last years. At present, sickness rate of the male population comprises 1-2% or 388 cases outof 100000 people.

In this article we suggest the literature review on this topic (causes, clinical features, stages,possible complications, diagnostic methods, conservative and surgical methods of treatment). We havealso provided the results of a 10-year research (from 1996 till 2005, 99 cases) in which we have evaluatedthe treatment of this pathology, have analyzed the correlation between the results of treatment and thenumber of performed therapy courses, initial size of plaques, how early a patient has applied for medicalhelp, and application of different methods of medical therapy and physiotherapy. We have evaluated thelong term results of the treatment. On the basis of our research results, we offer the most effectivescheme of this pathology treatment.
