EARTH DAY ACTIVITIES LISTCLOTHING REPAIR (FIX-IT) CLINIC Learn how to do simple clothing repairs at the Repair Clinic. An expert will be available to help you put

on a button, mend a popped seam or hem or other fabric repair.

LORI AND RJ MUSICLori and RJ’s show gives the audience an experience filled with the positive vibrations of good

music. Their performances are all about singing, movement, comedy, and kids having a meaningful

musical experience.

on Wheels can check books in or out, issue library cards, and best of all spread the word about the

incredible resource all Alamedans have access to: the Alameda Free Library.

COMMUNITY ACTION FOR A SUSTAINABLE ALAMEDADiscover the Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda (CASA), a community-wide coalition that

raises awareness, mobilize community action, and facilitate implementation of programs to achieve

the goal of Alameda’s Local Action Plan for Climate Protection (to reduce Alameda’s carbon emissions

to 25% below 2005 levels by the year 2020) and to increase community sustainability and well-being.

COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program provides training to Alameda residents to

increase self-sufficiency in a disaster. Come by and check out the CERT Mobile Disaster Unit and find

out when you can sign up for the next CERT Training class.

FRIENDS OF THE ALAMEDA ANIMAL SHELTER Learn more about Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) on the shelter and care for abandoned

companion animals and find out what animals (new friends) are currently available. Games and
