London’s retail landscape has changed for-ever as westfield Stratford city, Europe’s

largest urban shopping and leisure centre, opens its doors to the pub-lic and a new chapter in retail is born.

A city within a city, Stratford city combines lifestyle, entertainment, shopping and dining in a whole new district of London to discover.

Housing over 300 stores, 70 dining options and a unique food market it will create a new lifestyle destination for East London.

westfield Stratford city is anchored by flag-ship John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and wait-rose stores, a 17-screen Vue cinema, and the UK’s largest casino operated by Aspers.

the £1.45 billion westfield Stratford city welcomed its

first visitors. providing a new perspective on East London.

S tratford city also includes three hotels and 130,000 square feet of office space which is

the first phase of a total of 1.1 million square feet office precinct and 1,200 residential dwellings. Located on the doorstep to the Olympic Park, three quarters of all spectators are expected to walk directly through the centre on their way from the transport hubs to the Park.

iphone 4s reviewthe i4s roars in places where the i4 merely purred.

the first thing that you’ll notice about the iPhone 4S is just how familiar it looks. If

you never turned it on, you wouldn’t see a sin-gle difference between it and its predecessor.

That means you have the same steel antenna sandwiched between a glass front and glass back. That also means you get the same 960×640, 3.5 inch display, which, at 330ppi, still has the highest pixel density of any phone on the market.

Once you get past the initial familiarity of its exterior, you’ll quickly realize that the iPhone 4s is a different beast from the iPhone 4.

It ’s not a radically-different beast, mind you, but it ’s more mature than its predecessor and roars in places where the i4 merely purred.

we were expecting a moderate boost in speed, but was still taken aback at just how snappy the 4s is. Having used many du-al-core phones and tablets over the past several months, we were pleasantly sur-prised at the zippiness of the iPhone 4s.

The 8MP camera easily trumps its pre-decessor, and will likely take better pic-tures than any other camera you own.

S iri is the killer feature that has the poten-tial to change the way we interact with

our devices. It blurs the line between voice recognition and artificial intelligence, and al-lows you to use your iPhone by talking to it.

In typical Apple fashion, The 4s offers perfor-mance that matches or outweighs any top-of-the-line Android phone (at least for now).

the iPhone 4s is perfect for those wanting the most seamless,

hassle-free, simplified smartphone ex-perience out there.

1Moisturize dry skin to recover it from the harshness of autum and winter. Use

a liquid moisturizer or a cream moisturizer de-pending on your skin type to keep your skin supple.

2Hydration will be much more effective on freshly exfoliated skin. removing the

dead cell layer with a natural scrub insures better absorption of your hydrating products.

3Nourishment from Masks are undoubt-edly excellent for your skin, as they pro-

vide much needed nutrition. Think about it. Your face is exposed to the elements through-out the day, and the only form of nourishment it gets is a smattering of moisturizer every now and again.

skin so supple

4Diet too plays an important part in your skin’s health. Always eat fresh foods,

and opt for processed food only in times of emergency. Your diet mantra should be:Vegetables, Fruits, Nuts, water.

you can’t just shove junk food in your face and expect to have smooth, supple skin. a healthy diet gets results.

What are the qualities that make a successful fashion designer?

A natural flair for design and a willing-ness to work hard is a must. The suc-

cessful fashion designers of the world would confirm that it is a blend of talent and hard work.

you need to be adequately trained in the various aspects of the business which

are so critical. A diploma or a degree in a fashion institute of repute will just do fine..

A blend of knowledge of the theoretical aspects of fashion design as well as the

practical aspects. Such a combination goes on to make for a good fashion designer.

An aspiring fashion designer must be good at making basic sketch-

es. A basic sketch gives a good idea of how the design will finally look. Hence, a good fashion designer must be able to visualize how the design will look like in the end and draw a sketch accordingly.

good visualization skills are a must. A good fashion designer must also have

an eye for detail. while designing the most intricate of designs, an eye for detail is criti-cal. Good visualization serves as an inspiration and sets the objective for the final design.

Handover date of ear ly nex t year remains f i rmly on schedule

the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Village has now passed the symbolic 2,012

mark, signalling that a handover date of early next year remains firmly on schedule.

The Secretary of State for culture, Olympics, Media and Sport, Jeremy Hunt, praised the progress made on site as he visited a com-pleted property as part of one of his regular visits to inspect the London 2012 construction project.

The Olympic and Paralympic Village, which lies adjacent to the Olympic Park, will com-prise residential apartments for around 17,000 Olympic and 6,000 Paralympic athletes and officials during the Games, along with shops, restaurants, medical, media and leisure facili-ties, in addition to large areas of open space.

A fter the Games, the apartments will be adapted for permanent use as part of a

lasting legacy being created in east London. The Village, comprising 2,818 new homes across 11 individually designed plots, will be-come a new and complete London neighbour-hood - offering high-quality homes that will be affordable and private rented or owned.

Of the homes in the Village, 1,379 will be-come high-quality affordable housing.

The remaining 1,439 properties will be-come private housing after being ac-quired by a consortium which also secured six adjacent future development plots with the potential for 2,000 more homes.

olympic village

Community facilities, newly created parklands and some of the best trans-port connections in the capital will help deliver this sustainable and hopefully thriving neighbourhood ticket hunt

In December the remaining Paralympic tickets will go on sale, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Further contingency tickets for both the Olym-pics and Paralympics will be sold in Spring 2012.

Thomas cook is providing event tickets, ac-commodation and transport packages.

Some British people have been able to buy tickets through authorised resellers, espe-

cially from countries within the European Union.

But Locog has warned UK fans to beware of bogus and unauthorised websites when searching for tickets from overseas sources.

It urged them to use the London 2012 web-site checker to verify if the seller is genuine.
