Francesco Cattani è Dottore di Ricerca in Letterature e Culture dei Paesi di Lingue Inglese (Università di Bologna). E’ professore a contratto per il corso in insegna Letteratura Inglese presso la Fondazione Scuole Civiche di Milano. È membro della redazione di Between, la rivista dell’Associazione di Teoria e Storia Comparata della Letteratura. I suoi ambiti di ricerca riguardano la relazione tra culture postcoloniali e postmoderne, e la letteratura e cultura visuale black British. Ha curato con Vita Fortunati il volume Questioning the European Identity/ies (il Mulino 2014) e gli atti del covegno COMPALIT Chi ride ultimo. Parodia satira umorismi (2016). Ha pubblicato saggi sulla Londra postcoloniale, Ingrid Pollard, Bernardine Evaristo, Handsworth Songs, Caryl Phillips, Aravind Adiga, Ornela Vorpsi.
