ETWINNING 2013-2014 PG. 1 PROJECT 2013-2014 “Let us sing, let us play, let us dance partout!!!!" Teachers and pupils from the Experimental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, cooperate with colleagues and classmates from IES Heliche, Olivares, Spain and other European schools in order to trace European Cultural heritage throughout the teenagers’ preferences in music, games and dance and motivate their environmental awareness through their preferences. ΤΕACHERS: Eleni Rossiou, and Katerina Adamidou, Eleni Petridou, Rania Sidiropoulou, Sapfo Fotiadou Lessons: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Music, Cultural History, Fine Arts, Geography, Social Sciences, Foreign Languages, Physical Education, Languages: EN - EL – SP Students’ age: 13 - 15 e-Tools we may use: TwinSpace, WIKI, MP3, Chat, email, Teleconference, Audio events, Virtual learning environment (communities, forum), web Publishing and various software tools for creating and editing text, presentations, videos, recordings, photos, draws, patterns. Aims: Collaboration between pupils and teachers from different educational systems, coming from countries with various cultural heritage, comprehension of those differences and acceptance of the particular contribution of each civilization to world culture. Participants' awareness on issues concerning the European teenagers’ preferences concerning music, games and dance. Participants' awareness on issues concerning their environmental contribution. Exploitation of ICT in education and social media usage in e-collaboration, taking advantage of the WEB possibilities and digital media to promote European school cooperation, collaborative learning and project based pedagogy. Students' personal development since they are going to have the opportunity and possibility to express ideas and opinions, en-strengthen their self-confidence and involve themselves in creative collaborative activities as future Europeans. Promotion of European dimension in the class and development of the European Education quality. Process of work “Let us sing, Let us play, Let us dance partout!!!!” DURATION: October 2013- April 2014 EXPECTED RESULTS: Participants' personal development via e-collaboration with classmates and teachers from other countries. Participants’ sharing of learning experiences that occur from the “fusion of minds” during the project. Participants’ sharing of emotions caused by their preferences. Participants’ contacts with modern technology and knowledge, offers them a larger palette of pedagogical tools when exchanging their thoughts and ideas with others, in an increasingly information-dependent society.

Students getting know each other better Self-presentation with ONE SLIDE per student according to 3 issues: Music, Game, Dance. Each school uploads a presentation with 30 slides (one per student)

Forming Groups per country 6 groups (colours) TAKE ACTIONs which work on:

Group1_Blue: Mediterranean SOS Suggest an action to avoid some-how the danger! Group 2_Green: Energy problem Suggest an action to save energy! Group3_Red: Climate Change! Suggest an action to solve somehow the problem of climate change Group4_White: Water Loss Suggest an action to save water Group5_Black: Air Pollution Suggest an action to reduce air pollution in our city Group6_Yellow: natural resources depletion (exhaustion) Suggest an action to reduce, reuse and recycle

Groups define their names and search and action to solve their environmental problem.

Each International Group may prepare a logo for its team!

LET US SING! Music - Working in Groups AIM: To define a common song with which all groups will prepare chorography and lyrics about their “group”

The common song will be chosen by voting online and the partner groups exchange the lyrics of their song. Week 7 07-10.01.14

Phase 1st: All students suggest in Twinspace 2 favorite songs with YouTube URLs Songs must be: favorite, in English and danceable!

Phase 2nd: National Groups Vote a list of Songs Each National Group suggest the list of common songs (common preferences). If there are not common preferences then each National group suggest a list of 5 songs.

Phase 3rd: International groups Vote the Final song The two lists are compared and the common songs form the list of songs for voting. If there are not common songs then a song is randomly selected or by voting

Phase 4th: National Sub-groups synthesize their song! Each group/color per country creates lyrics (4 line) for taking action to solve the problem of the group they represent

Week 10 27-31.01.14

Phase 5th: Partner Groups Present! International subgroups (colors) exchange a presentation or a video with the selected background music and subtitles. International Groups/colours present their “songs” during teleconference “Let us sing!”

NOTE:

The National Groups correspond to a color according to De Bono 6 Thinking Hats which will be

used during the project. Each Group has a partner group for the other country.

The International Groups (with common color) communicate, interact, collaborate, co-create!

The pair colors may form larger groups (GREEN-WHITE, BLUE-RED, BLACK-YELLOW) and

cooperate as well.
