What Does E-Rate Cover?
Category One Services (Broadband outside the building)
• 20%-90% rebates based on Free and Reduced eligibility
• Eligible to apply every year
Category Two Services (Broadband inside the building)
• 20%-85% rebates based on Free and Reduced eligibility
• Eligible for approximately $157 per student (pre-discount)
every 5 years

issues facing applicants and how they may fit into
E-Rate
New Hope Manages Audits
• New Hope will be present for any on-site audit
• As part of engagement will manage audits of all past
applications
• Guaranteed support during the lifetime of any
application filed
• Represents applicants with USAC, FCC, and outside
auditors
• Write and file appeals with both USAC and FCC
New Hope Ensures all Eligible Services
are Included
• Regularly meet with technology staff to discuss needs
• Attend trainings and conference calls to be up to date on
eligible services list
• Review all contracts to make sure they are E-Rate
compliant
• Assist applicant with writing RFPs to ensure E-Rate
compliance
• Work with vendors and consortia to understand new
technologies and how they apply to E-Rate
