E-Rate Overview

The Universal Service Administrative Company manages the Universal Service Fund

E-Rate is under the umbrella of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)

E-Rate administers funds to schools and libraries so that they can acquire telecommunication and internet services more affordably.

Frisco ISD Technology

Mission Statement: By providing leadership, infrastructure, support, and staff development, the Frisco ISD Technology Department will empower students, educators, and the community to utilize current and emerging technologies as tools for life-long learning.

Frisco employs a Technology Integration Specialist on each campus to work with teachers integrating technology, providing the first line on tech support and handling campus media.

Frisco employs Technology Integration Facilitators that are full time teachers and go from campus to campus to aid in technology integration and lesson creation.

Elementary Technology Hardware

Each classroom has three Mac Book laptops.

The building has wireless connectivity.

Each classroom has a ceiling mounted LCD linked to a teacher workstation.

Each building has three computer labs equipped with twenty-eight computers.
