PRE-SESSIONAL ENGLISH

LANGUAGE PROGRAMMES

CLASSES WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE MAYNOOTH UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.

On successful completion of the Maynooth University Pre- sessional English language programmes students may

progress to their chosen programme of study at Maynooth University.

Students registering for Pre-sessional English language

programmes for 2019 must have a conditional offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at Maynooth

University.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For * UG or PG offer-holders who require IELTS 6.5 but at time of offer have IELTS 6.0.

For UG offer-holders who require IELTS 6.0 but at

time of offer have IELTS 5.5.

For UG or PG offer-holders who have the required overall IELTS score but who wish to

undertake an intensive English language programme.

For offer-holders who have already attained the required overall IELTS score and need to improve

their individual band scores in reading and/or writing from 6.0 to 6.5.

Both programmes will include an English for

Academic Purposes (EAP) element.
