Commissioner Note:

During the month of October month Municipality is implementing schemes for development of

the town. We are implementing the state and central government schemes such as smart pulse

survey, and AMRUT. Smart pulse survey was launched on July 8th across Andhra Pradesh with

objective to ascertain the socio economic statues of people and 59 % of the households have

been served in the Nandyal Municipality by the end of October 2016.

TCE (PDMC) prepared a draft DPR for the sanctioned project for development of park under

AMRUT. And SE – PH Gunter circle a conducted a review meeting on proposed locations and

review the draft DPR.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued instructional to conduct massive drive on control

mosquito menace naming “Domalapai Dandayatra and Parisarala Parishubraha” three new hand

fogging machine. Hand pamphlets and booklets containing the information on awareness of

seasonal diseases are distributed to the public under them at drive programme.

The council meeting organized in the last week of the month came up with 11 agendas. The

Meeting mainly focussed on town beatification, roads winding developments of Municipal shops

and tax collection from Municipal shops. After various discussion all other agendas has been

accepted by the council.

The Smart Pulse Survey launched on July 8th across Andhra Pradesh with an objective to

ascertain the socio-economic status of people. As a part of the programme, Hon’ble MLA

launched Smart Pulse Survey at Nandyal Municipality. As many as 119 enumerators were

appointed by the Dist. Administration for conducting survey covering all 42 wards in the town.

Almost 59 % of the households have been surveyed in the Nandyal Municipality by the end of

October 2016.

The Collector meeting organized in Nandyal municipality on 28-10-2016 last week of the month.

The Meeting mainly focussed on development schemes in Nandyal town. Collector visited the

deferent locations in town along with Hon’ble MLA Sri Bhuma Nagi Reddy, Municipal chair

person Smt. D.Sulochana and Municipal commissioner.

As per the Government of Andhra Pradesh, issued instructions to conduct massive drive on

control mosquito menace naming “Domalapai Dandayatra and Parisarala Parishubratha”

amassive drive was conducted in Nandyal municipality on 23-09-2016 the aim of the program is

To prevent the mosquitoes by maintaining hygienic surroundings in all wards of the municipal

limits.

The main activities planned under this program are:

Awareness creation on mosquitoes prevention through distribution of pamphlets

Booklets by covering every Household, rallies, banners etc.

Maintaining hygienic surroundings in every ward of the municipality

Preventing Water stagnation

Domalapai Dandayatra and Parisarala Parishubraha

In order to provide civic amenities and to give a decent quality of life to the Citizens of Nandyal

the following works have been taken up on October month. Lying of Metal road near Samantha

vidya nikaytan in ward no14, with an estimated cost of Rs7.70 Lakhs Bhomi Pooja had done on

Oct 2016 by our Honourable chairperson Smt. Desam Sulochana garu for the construction of

road works.

In order to provide civic amenities and to give a decent quality of life to the Citizens of Nandyal

the following works have been taken up on October month. Lying of CC Road near Padmavathi

Nagar and Saraswathi Nagar in ward no14and 15 with an estimated cost of rs18.60 Lakhs Bhomi

Mahatma Gandhi Birthday Day celebration has been celebrated in Gandhi Chowk centre and,

different places in Nandyal. It is very happy celebrated with RDO, along with Municipal

commissioner officials as part of Mahatma Gandhi birthday Day celebrations. This is the 3rd

Birthday celebrations Celebrated in Andhra Pradesh after Reorganisation of Andhra Pradesh.
