Client provides one stop solution for leading online merchants to easily

manage inventory, orders, and fulfillment for selling more products on

different marketplaces and efficiently manage merchants' own settings and

create default policies which can be selected when adding a new listing. This

helps merchants efficiently expand selection through owned and 3rd-party

online marketplaces. The Client is based out of North America.

The Client

ChallengesSigma's .Net team started development with beta version of eBay Business

Policy Services API as it was only available in the sandbox environment, the

feature and corresponding services were new and changing constantly. The

API calls were non-reliable and message response was not consistent for all

the messages. There used to be major changes in service contract too. The

access to beta version of eBay Trading APIs was limited to 5,000 requests per

Application per day. There were similar challenges with application runtime

environments for other marketplaces realizing frequent service updates.

payment information from one central

location, rather than specifying the

information separately on each of your

listings.

SuccessesHaving Microsoft Certified Developers, Sigma Infosolutions' .Net team

created mock and live test cases using Rhino and NUnit to make sure that new

change in service does not break the existing logic. These test cases where

part of the daily build so any break in service contract would be caught when

build is run. This ensured data integrity, data security and full utilization of

API services in listing solutions and eliminating performance bottlenecks.

This extended the base features of listing solution as well as for custom

attributes for listing data input structures.

Business CaseClient provides listing solutions to its global customers. Client wanted to

integrate the eBay Business Policy into its existing line of products. The

Business Policies Management API allows sellers to create and manage

payment, shipping, and return policy profiles. Sellers can easily create these

Business Policies profiles and associate them to an eBay category group.

Since every listing on eBay is linked to a category, these APIs will allow

merchants to create a policy and immediately apply it to all listings for a

group of categories. By using the Business Policies Management API, sellers

will no longer have to recreate, reassign, and update the same payment,

shipping, and return policy settings/values for each individual listing. This

API will help sellers save significant time in creating and updating their

listings. Sigma Infosolutions proposed to use .net platform to build the

connector from scratch.
