When it comes to conveying bulkgranular materials regardless of howabrasive, fragile or difficult to handle,Dynamic Air Dense Phase PneumaticConveying Systems are State-of-the-Art.
There's no longer any question thatdense phase pneumatic conveyingcan be the most reliable, efficientmethod for handling a remarkablywide range of dry bulk solids.
By definition, dense phase pneumaticconveying simply means using asmall amount of air to move a largeamount of bulk solid material inclosely-associated slugs through aconveying line. The process is similarto extruding.
Unlike "dilute phase" pneumaticsystems that typically use largeramounts of air (either positive pressureor vacuum) to move relatively smallamounts of material at high velocitiesin suspension, dense phase offers theenormous advantage of efficiently"pushing" a much denser concentrationof bulk solids at relatively low veloci-ties (300 to 2000 feet per minute)through a conveying line.
The result: gentle handling of heavyabrasive materials and non-abrasivesolids that cannot tolerate degradation. For many fragile crystalline andgranular materials there is no finerprocess. And Dynamic Air's densephase systems offer more gentletreatment of system components aswell: because of the lower velocities, system wear and related breakdownsare minimized.

Dynamic Air's dense phase pneumaticconveying is:
• Energy and labor efficient.• Reliable, because of fewer moving parts and
less system wear.• Flexible, allowing installations of entire
conveying systems in spaces too small orcrowded for mechanical systems with mini-mum disruption to your production schedules.
• Totally contained, minimizing particulatecontrol problems.
Typical materials conveyed are:alumina, aluminum oxide, baby formula, ball clay, barite, bauxite, bentonite, borax, calcium carbonate, calcium chloride, carbon black (pelletized), cement, coffee beans (roasted), cullet, detergent (agglomer-ated), feldspar, fine coal, flour, fluorspar, fly ash, foundry molding sand, glass batch, glass beads, ground meal, gypsum, iron oxide, kaolin clay, kyan-ite, lime, litharge, magnesium, milk powder, peanuts,PVC resin, quartz, roofing granules, salt, silica sand, soda ash, sodium sulfate, steel chips, sulfur, sugar(crystal), talc, titanium dioxide and more.

Dynamic Air'sExclusiveDyna-Chek® 4Booster Fittingis the Key toComplete Controlof Your Material Throughthe Entire Conveying Line. The earliest dense phase conveyingsystems were nothing more than ablow tank and a pipeline. Somesystems still are. In these systems, allthe air required to convey the materialout of the transport vessel and toovercome friction in the conveyingline is added at the blow tank.
But these more primitive systemshave major drawbacks. Paramountamong them: reduced efficiency, because they require larger volumesof air and are limited to conveyingsmaller batches of material.
Further, the larger amounts of air thatmust be added to these systems toprevent plugging leads to increasedconveying velocity. This velocitycreates some of the very problems thatdense phase systems were developedto avoid - greater abrasion and/orproduct degradation.
The Dyna-Chek 4 booster fittingprovides a precise, gentle pushexactly where it is needed.
Dynamic Air systems do not addall the air at the transportingvessel. Instead, we add only thevolume required to move thematerial into the line at maximumdensity. After the material beginsto convey down the line, we addonly the necessary air to overcomeconveying line friction, as it occursand not before.
Friction can increase in a system forvarious reasons, such as a bend in theconveying line or a change in materialcharacteristics. Dyna-Chek 4 boosterfittings allow us to maintain yourmaterial at a maximum density andminimum conveying velocity, overcoming friction as it occurs.
The Dyna-Chek 4 booster fitting is soreliable that most materials can bestopped or restarted anywhere alongthe conveying line regardless oflength!
5
The Dynamic Air precision-control concept is unsurpassedfor system reliability, efficiency, flexibility and performance.
Because we add air all along the line,we improve the material-to-air ratiothroughout the system withoutcausing plugging problems. Thus, wecan convey large batches of materi-als, providing the highest obtainableefficiencies with the added plus ofthe highest degree of reliability.
Dynamic Air systems are designed toconserve valuable compressed air.Since your material is maintained atthe lowest possible velocity through-out the entire system, there is lessabrasion. The conveying line life isextended and degradation of fragilematerials more effectively minimizedthan with any system that adds allthe energy (almost always too muchenergy) only at the blow tank.
Because of its unique check valveaction, the booster fitting is highlyresponsive to back feeding of theconveyed material, and it can be
throttled to obtain optimum effi-ciency at virtually any point in theconveying line. Furthermore, ourbooster fittings make our systemshighly flexible - we can handle manymaterials previously thought impos-
sible for pneumatic conveying, andby adding new booster fittings, aDynamic Air system can even beeasily expanded, modified or up-graded for most processes, materialsor design changes.

We are the world'sdense phase pneumaticconveying specialists. We are a manufacturer. Our systems are recognized assecond to none for their reliabilityand performance. And they gobeyond pneumatic conveying toinclude a full range of componentsfor a complete material handlingsystem: air-activated gravity con-veyors, switches, bag breakers, batch weighing systems, divertervalves, mixers and blenders, dustcontrol equipment, automatic bagopeners, lump breakers, aerators, bin discharge systems, silo blenders, feeders, rotary spouts, powderpumps, storage bins and hoppers, and much more, any of which canbe designed into a Dynamic Airsystem.
We provide completelyengineered systems.Any truly high performance systemis more than hardware. Dynamic Airis a world leader in dense phasepneumatic conveying because of ourpeople and the expertise they canbring to your material handlingdesign problem.
We are listeners first and foremost. We never walk into a client's plantwith standardized plans in our backpockets and off-the-shelf "compro-mise" solutions. Instead, we mergeour bulk handling expertise withyour unique process knowledge todesign a custom system for yourapplication.
We have a fully equippedtesting laboratory. If you have a new material that mustbe tested or if our knowledge ofyour material is limited, we will testyour special material in our full-scale test facility.
In our testing lab, we determineconveyability, material-to-air ratios, material velocities, hygroscopiceffects, build-up tendencies, dustcollector requirements, degradation, segregation, filling times, conveyingtimes, optimum conveying pres-sures, air volumes, aerated bulkdensities and any other test data thatmight be required. Little is left indoubt.
