Day 2 SaturdaySession 2Systems Analysis for Educational SectorThe smootrr operation of educational institutions is a result of the effective synergy of multiple factors.Hourever, planning and management largely need to look into what makes jn ini{itution function andtmw opemthrs can be maximized to acfrieve an institution's targets. This session teaches thepartidpants to affi principles of systems analysis to educational institutions in orderto identify andintrodue interventicns or preventive measures to ensure successfulday-to-day operations.

Session 3Analyzing orga n izational structu res in Ed ucational lnstitutionsManpower complement and an institution's organizational structure are crucialfactors that need to beanalyzed, assessed and, in necessary, reformed, in order to ensure operational efficiency. While it istrue that, for the most part, organizational structures are fixed, what can be modified are iunctions{and the corresponding revision of workflows within institutionsi of the various elements in thestructures.

Day 3 SundaySession 4Revisiting Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives of Educational lnstjtutionsln the im$ementatbn of OBE, educators need to revisit and r+evaluate their respec{ive institutions'VMG to be in a better position to design cunicslum, syllabiand lesson plans that are in-sync andaligned with the VMG be modified, revised or revitalized given the various factors and transformationsin the field of education. A revising and review of VMG will likewise enlighten participating educatorswhether VMGs need to.

Session 3 - EHumanities for the 2{"t Century Filipinos YThis session focuses on literature and cultural studies as integral to the subjects in theHUMSS track. The objective of the session is to present new selections of texts and ways ofunderstanding / analysing these with the goal of inculcating critical thinking among thestudents. Theoretical perspectives on reading and analysing texts, both traditionai I canonicaland contemporary texts.

Day 3 SundaySession 4The Social Scie.nces for Globally Compe{itive LearnersThis mnduding session willwrap up the activity by describing and discussing the value of thevarious su$ects under the HUMSS track for shaping globally competitive Filipinos. The objectiveoJ this session is primarily to inform participants regarding the latest trends in reseaich, especialiythose that have to do with education (action research).

$ession 3Language and Research: Taking a Scholarly TurnThis session is a refresher on the use of scholarly language {English or Filipino} for writing. Thissession will also review the different citation formats especially those that have'to do withlbctronicand internet sources. A review of rules on intellectual honesty as well as proper documentation will bepart of the session's workshop.

Day 3 SundaySession 4Packaging Research for PublicationThe objective of this session is to provide participants with an idea how to package research outputsfrom theses or dissertations into publishable journal articles. The session will also provide tips andstrategies from looking for possible venues for publication, submitting articles and ievising based onreviewers' comments and suggestions.
