MARIT BOUWMEESTER

• Marit Bouwmeester is born on June 16 1988. She is a Dutch sailor in the Laser Radial class. She once took part in the Olympic Games (2012) and won a silver medal whatsoever.

•  • In her class Bouwmeester currently one of the most successful sailors, with a world title in

2011 and a World Cup silver medal in 2010. She was for some time captain of the ISAF ranking (International Sailing Federation), a position now taken over by the Belgian sailor Evi Van Acker. Bouwmeester represented the Netherlands at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she earned a silver medal, China's Xu Lijia pulled in front of her a gold medal.

•  • Bouwmeester is a member of WV Frisia sailing club and lives in Wartena. She has a

EPKE ZONDERLAND

 Epke Jan Zonderland (born 16 April 1986) is a Dutch gymnast and 2012 Olympic gold medalist in the high bar. His nickname is "The flying Dutchman".At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Zonderland won an Olympic gold medal in the high bar with a personal best score of 16.533. His routine included a Cassina-Kovacs-Kolman combination. He is the first Dutch male gymnast to win a medal at the Olympics as well as the first Dutch gymnast (male or female) to win an individual Olympic medal. Zonderland was named Dutch Sportsman of the year in 2009 for his silver medal in High Bar at the 2009 World Championships. He was selected Sportsman of the Year for a second time in 2011 after he won the European Championships. He was made a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau after he won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics • 14 december 2008 – gold on the bar at the worldcupfinal in Madrid.• 18 october 2009 - silver on the bar at the worldchampionship in Londen.• 24 october 2010 - silver on the bar at the worldchampionship in Rotterdam.• 10 april 2011 - gold on the bar at het Europees championship in Berlijn.• 7 august 2012 - gold on the bar at de Olympic games 2012 in Londen.

 

ADELINDE CORNELISSEN.

Born 8 July 1979 ApeldoornTrainer: John Hamminga Adelinde Cornelissen is a dressage rider. Since she was six she rides pony. Her horse name is Parzival.In 2008 she was second at the National Championships indoor narrowly behind Anky van Grunsven. At the European Championship in dressage August 2011 in Rotterdam, she won with her horse Jerich Parzival gold twice, first on the Special and then the freestyle.On August 7, 2012 she won the Dutch dressage team (Anky van Grunsven, Edward Gal and Adelinde Cornelissen) on the London Games a bronze medal. Personally, she obtained the second highest number of points. They also picked up a silver medal in the individual competition.

RANOMI KROMOWIDJOJO

Ranomi Kromowidjojo born August 20, 1990 in Sauwerd, Netherlands) is a Dutch swimmer of mixed Dutch-Javanese Surinamese origin who mainly specialises in freestyle but also swims in backstroke and butterfly events. She is a triple Olympic champion, winning the gold medal in the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the 2008 Olympics and in the 50 m freestyle and 100 m freestyle at the 2012 Olympics. As part of the Dutch team, she holds the world records in the 4×50 m freestyle relay on short course (25 m pool), and 4×100 m freestyle relay on long course (50 m pool) and short course. 30 minutes after winning her 3th olympic medal, she said that she would stop with competitive swimming. After 1 day she after all one day she pulled those words in. Ranomi Kromowidjojo won in london a total of three medals (two gold, one silver). She won and shared the 9th place. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Kromowidjojo and her teammates started the meet with a silver medal in the 4×100 m freestyle relay, an event in which they were the defending champions. The gold medal went to Australia. By winning the 50 m and 100 m freestyle, Kromowidjojo followed in the footsteps of compatriot Inge de Bruijn, who won both events at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. The European Swimming Federation named Kromowidjojo female European swimmer of the year 2012.

MARIANNE VOS

After winning a junior European and world championship in road racing, she continued in senior cycling by becoming world champion in cyclo-cross and road racing at the age of 19. Vos added track racing world championships when she won the points race in 2008 and the scratch race in 2011. In the 2008 Summer Olympics, she won the gold medal in the points race; in the 2012 Summer Olympics, gold in the women's road race. She has twice been World Road Race Champion – in 2006 and 2012.In 2012, Vos won the world cyclo-cross championship again. On the road, she recorded wins at the Round of Drente and the Trofeo Alfredo Binda, but fractured her collarbone after colliding with a motorcycle during the Valkenburg Hills Classic on 25 May. Although she was still able to finish the race in second place and did not require surgery,she did not resume racing until the Dutch National Championships on 23 June in which she finished second, 3 seconds behind Annemiek Van Vleuten. She then raced in the Giro Donne, where for the second year running she won five stages and the general classification. On 29 July she won gold in the London Olympic Games road race winning the sprint from a 3 woman breakaway which formed following the final lap of the Box hill, Surrey circuit on the return to London.She finished in the Women’s time trial 16th. In september,Vos won her second road race world title in Valkenburg after 5 second places in a row (2007–2011).

• Dutch Men's Team has won a silver medal in London during the Olympics. In the finals Netherlands lost the Olympic final of Germany 2-1. The winning goal four minutes from time was made by Jan-Philpp Rabente.

WOMEN’S SWIM RELAY

• In the sport of swimming the medley is considered the physically toughest part because of the many tempo and rhythm changes that a swimmer or swimmer faces in the water, the swimming stroke is a combination of four existing strokes and is performed in the following fixed order: butterfly , back, school and freestyle (relay in a different order held).

 • On the long course (50 meters) the number has two distances: the 200 meters and 400 meters.

On the short course (25 meters) on the other hand has the Medley three distances: 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters. The event is also swam in a relay, the 4x100 meter medley, the sequence is as follows: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle (front crawl). On the short course swimming also has the 4x50 meter medley.

The Dutch relay women have placed third for the Olympic finals in the 4x100 meter freestyle.In the second heat swam Hinkelien Schreuder, Marleen Veldhuis, Inge Dekker and Femke Heemskerk 3.37.76. The Australian (3:36:34) and American (3:36:53) women were more than a second faster than the defending champions.The final battle, which takes the place of Ranomi Kromowidjojo Schreuder, is Saturday at 21.40 hours.The women's 4x100-meter freestyle at the 2012 Summer Olympics took place on July 28, 2012, and series finale. Because the pool where the contest was held is 50 meters long, the race eight laps exist. After the series the fastest eight teams qualified for the final. Reigning Olympic champion was Netherlands.
