Selecting the Scenario So I started with the first scenario, which I learned after I started it, that it is considered one of the harder scenarios, although in the end I found it pretty easy.

Instructions for the Scenario It doesn’t actually tell you what you need to do to win the scenario and in the end I was on year 1947 when I realized I had made it to Metropolis so it didn’t actually tell me I had won or completed it.

Foundation What Dullsville looks like when you first load it.

Starting Statistics What the city starts out with values wise. I checked this basically after each time the budget popped up.

Page 6: Dullsville USA 1900 Boredom

My addition to the city spending almost all of the $5,000 you start out with for this challenge.

And then a stadium was added once I was able to add a power plant.

As an aside, the years were jumping by two at a time.

Half way point…sort of Almost completely filled in the top part of the map.

Statistics for the half way point One level away from Metropolis and half way to the population required to reach it.

Finished 1947 Some how it let me play well past the 1930 year, but since it was jumping two years every time I am taking this to mean I won in 15 years instead. May let it play out to 1961 to see if it gives me the completed text.

Wrap-up/Thoughts •  First off, I started the scenario a few times before I really got going with the game

because I knew I had made some obvious mistakes. –  Then there were a few at the beginning, the speed got away from me because I had forgotten how to

pause the game without the drop-down menu. –  The first time I actually played I bulldozed everything and then realized I bulldozed the power plant

and the cheapest one is $3,000 so I would have only had $2,000 left over. –  The second time I started the addition way to far away and you do get power drop-off the further out

you go so less was able to be powered and I didn’t have enough for another power plant. –  This took a whole week to get to a start where I felt like I had gone about it the right way.

•  There is almost no information about how to win the scenarios online. –  I tried looking all over the place searching the name of the scenario and while a lot of things came up,

but none of them really said what you needed to actually achieve to win this because I wasn’t sure what I had to reach to achieve the Metropolis level.

•  It didn’t tell me I won! –  This is the first one where I think I actually accomplished everything it set out for me to do so while

the game didn’t tell me I won, I still feel like I actually won but I am scared of how the ones with the disasters are part of the scenario are going to go.
