With 500 delegates from over 50 countries expected to be in attendance, we know we are participating
in a must not miss event. Together, we will share in the rise of the Coworking movement and
how it’s transformed entrepreneurship, innovation, and the overall culture within the workplace
for companies of all sizes.
This conference will feature unique insights from the best in the industry, including various speakers and
panelists offering their thoughts on the best practices, what the future may hold for coworking and new
ideas of all sorts to an audience of operators, facility managers, real estate developers, city council
representatives, entrepreneurs, and various public development agencies.
Regardless of your experience in Coworking, this may even be your first time attending a
conference, we are certain this will be a ‘disruptive’ experience, and we mean that in the best way!
To better prepare you for Dublin and all that she offers, here is our handy City Guide.
This year’s Coworking Europe Conference is in Dublin,
Ireland, held at the iconic Croke Park Stadium.

Breakfast and Lunch
► The Lovely Food Company: located in Drumcon-dra (read: a few minutes from Croke Park), this cozy café is perfect for an on-the-go breakfast. Try the eggs benedict! €€
► Beanhive: this coffee shop serves traditional Irish breakfast. €
► Whitefriar Grill: this steakhouse serves up delicious brunch. We recommend the lobster hash and truffle French toast. €€
► 147 Deli: popular spot for their infamous sand-wiches and coffee on Parnell Street. €
Dinner
► The Barge: is a local spot in the Charlemount /Portebello area located on a canal. €€
► Camden Kitchen: the menu here is French- inspired modern European. €€
► Coppinger Row: an upscale, Mediterranean place for cocktail, extensive wine list, and small plates. They have an Early Bird Special on week-nights. €€€
► Matt The Thresher: a seafood spot located in the Baggot Street area. We think it’s worth the walk. €€€
► Seafood Bar: seafood lovers will swoon. €€€
Sweet Treats & Bakeries
► Murphy’s Ice Cream: located off Grafton St., this place makes their own flavors. €
► Queen of Tarts: tucked away in Temple Bar in Cows Lane, this café is famous for their baked goods. €

► Vintage Cocktail Club (V.C.C.): located on a side street in Temple Bar, look for a black, unsuspecting door with VCC written on it. Ring the doorbell to be let in. Reservations are highly recommended. €€€
► Sophie’s Bar: this trendy bar is on the 5th floor of the Dean Hotel. Great views. €€
► O’Donoghue’s: this pub on Merrion Street is where you’ll find locals rather than tourists, and good live music. €€
► O’Neill’s Bar & Restaurant: off Grafton Street, featuring live music and a great mix of people. €€
► The Blind Pig Speakeasy: this place has password and codes to get in, but this underground speakeasy is worth the effort. €€

Prepare for your Trip!
Let’s Get Packing
► November is chilly. Pack a waterproof jacket and/or an umbrella. A scarf will help with the
windchill.
► Dublin is a walking city (several streets are cobblestoned), so comfortable shoes are a
must. Boots are highly recommended.
► Exchange your money to Euros before you get to Dublin. If you choose to exchange at the
airport and or inside the city center, you will be charged a higher commission. While most
places accept major credit cards, cash is best for the public transportation, smaller shops,
and tipping.
► Bring a travel Adapter for your electronic devices that is specific to the U.K (three prongs).
► Passport. You may leave your passport in your room safe. It is not required while you are
out and about, however, carry at least one form of photo I.D. with you always (Driver’s
License is best).
Tipping Norms
It is not customary to tip in Ireland. Service charges are often included in the bill. However, if
you would like to leave a tip for your service, 10% is normal.

Prepare for your Trip!
Transportation
Taxis or Uber: Taxis are readily available, either in the street or at a designated taxi
stand. You can also use Uber, note that in Dublin most Uber drivers are cabbies as well.
The Bus is another reliable and practical option. Buses originate from O’Connell
street within the City Center. You can find stops throughout the city by spotting markers
that look like blue or green lollipops. Be aware that to ride the bus you must pay in coins
and no change will be provided. The Dublin Bus can get you to Croke Park with the
nearest stop a 15-minute walk to the stadium.
Dublin has a tram system called the Luas. The Luas has two lines, one red and one
green. To get to the stadium, take the red line to Connelly station where it will be a
15-minute walk to Croke Park. The Luas can go anywhere from 1.90-to-3.10 EUR in
terms of a single ticket with 3.50-to-5.60 EUR for a round trip. You can also pay 6.80 EUR
for unlimited 1-day travel and 24.90 EUR for an entire week unlimited. Both can be
purchased at any stop.
You can also use the Airlink Express that runs through the Dublin airport. To get
onboard, you can take the 747 bus from the airport to the city center for 6 EUR. You can
exit at either the Heuston or Connelly rail station. Airlink tickets can be purchased online
or onboard.
