Our rates are based on individual consignments as the insurance premium is determined by the value of your goods, destination and the means of transport. Furthermore, it is possible to take out insurance for the full invoice value of the goods plus up to 10% to cover administration. For detailed information on our rates, please refer to section 3. Conditions A freight forwarder’s liability is limited and you will often only receive compensation for part of your loss, if the loss or damage is compensated at all. DSV Cargo Insurance covers all standard commodities against accidents, or any other incident causing loss or damage. All-risk cargo insurance is provided on the globally accepted Institute Cargo Clauses issued by the London Insurance Market. For information on excluded cargo, please refer to section 1. Around the globe Our insurance covers your cargo to and from most countries around the world. For certain countries however, a separate agreement with DSV Insurance A/S is required. SECTION 3 – Insurance premium calculation table

• The insurance premium is calculated as a percentage of thegoods value, including freight, plus 10% to cover administration.

SECTION 4 – Additional conditionsUsed and unpacked goods: The insurance does not cover scratches, marks, dents, rust and oxidation or damage to mechanical or electronic systems. Used goods, terms and conditions clause will apply and is available upon request.Minimum premium: EUR20

Vehicle or pleasure crafts: The insurance does not cover scratches, marks, dents, rust and oxidation or damage to mechanical or electronic systems. The Vehicle and Pleasure Craft Clause will apply and is available on request.Minimum premium: EUR200

SECTION 5 – Time limits for forwarding claims• Road or rail: 7 days• Sea: 3 days• Air: 14 days

• Please refer to your local DSV contact for goods valued aboveEUR 500,000 (EUR 25,000 for non-standard goods) &/or for Warand Strike risks rates.

Household Goods and Personal Effects: The insurance does not cover scratches, marks, dents, rust and oxidation or damage to mechanical or electronic systems.The Household Goods and Personal Effects Clause will apply and is available on request.Min premium: EUR200

Storage insurance: Storage that is not part of the normal transport chain can be insured for up to three months, and insurance is offered on all risk insurance conditions at a monthly rate of 0.10% of the value of the goods. For long term storage we can always be contacted for lower rates.

Where a survey is required, you must contact us immediately. Please be aware that in case of damage you must seek the claims adjuster’s acceptance before selling or destroying goods.
