Fortified Panchagavya
Vitamate (Humic acid)Biochar
Fortified Panchagavya works as Plant Growth Promoter (PGP) and protects plant from fungal pathogens
Salient Features
• An organic liquid manure enriched with microbial population, enhanced micronutrients and consistent production process
• Speeding of preparation of Panchagavya by adding bacterial isolate, molecularly identified as Bacillus methylotrophicus.
• The resultant product matures in 2 weeks with enhanced growth hormones (IAA & GA).
• More than 500 farmers have been trained on production and application of fortified Panchagavya from Ulundurpet and Karaikudi Blocks
• Farmers adapted this technology, realized yield enhancement (9 – 11% in different crops).
Humic acid is applied as organic foliar spray to enhance microbial activity
Salient Features
• Produce humic acid through recycling the agricultural farm waste & animal waste (cow dung)
• Replenishment of soil carbon by providing required nutrients.
• Preparation through liquid state biomass fermentation for 45 days.
• Improving plant / crop growth and increase in yield from15 to 18%.
Specification
Filter unit was designed with SS metal – 2.5ft * 1.5ft (L*B) to extract humic acid.
Biochar - used as agri-input to improve soil health. Recommendation: Apply 2 tons of biochar / acre with 0.5 % of soil carbon. It will vary according to the soil type and carbon content. Salient Features• Increases soil organic carbon from 0.5 to 0.8% and
helps in nutrient uptake.• Improves soil fertility and water holding capacity (8
to 10%) resulting in enhanced crop yield from 12 to 15%.
• Value added products – 1. Incense pellet, 2. Mosquito repellant pellet, 3. Used in water purification
• Beneficiaries: 100 small & medium farmers are using biochar as soil amendment for various crops
Supported under Core Support Program, SEED Division, Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi

Alternative Analytical Technology (AAT)Salient Features
• Alternative Analytical Technology (AAT) is a simple, costeffective and reliable technology to determine soil nutrientsrapidly.
• It helps to test nutrients in soil including pH, EC, carbon, organic humus, primary (NPK), secondary and micro-nutrients
• AAT is based on subjecting small amount of soil sample to asimple paper chromatography and using image processing forobtaining a comprehensive, quantitative soil nutrient analysis.
• The test result provides alerts on excesses or deficiency ofnutrients. The resultant soil analysis is converted by software torecommend 5 suitable crops for the particular soil as well asfertilizers, secondary and micronutrients requirements for thechosen crop
