Who is the course for ? How many students ? For which discipline ?What are the learning objectives of the course ?1st year master degree students, about 12-15 per groupdiscipline - Professional English Language. Part 1. Digital Signal ProcessingThe main purposes of the course are to help students in improving English speaking to teach basics of digital signal processing theory and equipment .By this time students had courses of Microprocessors, Electronics etc. in Russian.But they did not study Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in Russian. That is why this course cannot concentrate on mathematical theory but can help to pay more attention to equipment and applications of DSP.Students would have lack of time to attend classes. Some of them would work.They would have different level of English speaking. 2

What will happen in the classroom part of the course ?Lectures, discussions, seminars.How does the online part link to the face-to-face teaching ?Lectures will give the direction of course, themes for reports. Then there will be online tests to monitor knowledge of terms.Discussions in classroom are necessary to form pattern which will be used in cross-checking of reports.Lectures describe basics of DSP, its applications and equipment
