IntroductionCenturies ago, when the Empire o Stars collapsed, the land o Ehb became a re uge or the 10th Legion. They were the fnest and best-trained o the Imperial armies. The noble legionnaires protected Ehb during theWar o Legions, when the old Empire tore itsel apart. At the Wars end, the commanders o the 10th Legionestablished the new and independent kingdom o Ehb. Throughout Ehbs history, the Legion provided stabilityand protection, but they le t rulership o the kingdom to an independent monarchy.

As years passed, the Legion became increasingly power ul. Its in uence grew to rival the monarchy.

Then, thirty years ago, Ehbs king was murdered, and blame was cast upon the Legion. Led by the young andcharismatic Jeyne Kassynder, the people rose up and slaughtered the 10th Legion, tearing down their proudchapterhouses and estates.

With the all o the Legion, the kingdom has ractured into petty states and ree towns. Most o the country hasallen under the sway o Jeyne Kassynder, who controls the Church o Azunai and eastern Ehb. Her power is

steadily growing. The royal court has retreated to the mountain astness o Glitterdelve, in the west, and thebustling city o Stonebridge has declared itsel a ree and independent republic.

Only a scattering o Legion descendants survive. Many were hunted down and slain by Jeyne Kassynder, while others ell victim to the mobs o common olk who rose up to sack their estates. But a network odescendants endures, organized by an elusive old man - The Venerable Odo - believed to be the last survivinglegionnaire. He has protected the children o Legion blood and kept them sa e rom Jeyne Kassynder.

Now a gathering has been called in the remote Rukkenvahl, in the north. Odo has asked all the Legiondescendants to assemble, in an attempt to rebuild the Legion and t ake back their kingdom rom JeyneKassynder, be ore it is too late...
