Market closed in green today. The benchmark index DSEX

(+0.45%) gained 24.07 points and closed at 5,405.96 points

today. The blue-chip index DS30 (+0.18%) closed in green

while the shariah based index DSES (-0.32%) closed in red.

Large cap sectors showed mixed performance today. Banks

experienced the highest gain of 2.17% followed by Food &

Allied (+1.49%) and Engineering (+0.28%). Telecommunication

posted the highest loss of 1.85% followed by Power (-0.67%),

NBFIs (-0.10%) and Pharmaceuticals (-0.02%). Total turnover

stood at BDT 7.2 billion (USD 87.1 million). Aman Cotton

Fibrous Limited (-9.8%) was the most traded share with a

turnover of BDT 352.6 million.
