GreetingsFor those of you that were unable to make it along to the London Drum Show we have a full and in-depth review of what went on.I cannot thank the entire drumming community enough for their whole-hearted support of the show. The artists, the manufacturers, the distributors, the retailers and of course all of you who spent two days luxuriating in one of the best atmospheres I can ever remember. Also we have two very insightful interviews with Matt Cameron and Chris Pennie, both garnered by Owen Hopkin who nailed both players into divulging some incredible insights into how they work their game.Drummer also got to visit Spain recently and the home of De Gregorio cajón manufacturing. We look at what is rapidly becoming one of the most popular percussion instruments. For those expecting to read the Steve Smith track-by-track in this issue, my apologies. The show report became so enormous that we have had to push that feature over into the next issue. As I feel the winter months drawing close I fi nd this a great time to take a close look at my gear and see what maintenance is required as we
approach what can be a very busy time for us players. With that in mind we offer you a chance to give some love to your snare drum in the shape of Drummer’s Snare Doctor feature that will have your signature snare sound resounding bigger and better than ever. That’s it for now – enjoy the issue
