BecauseweasanInsurerareregulated,andyourpolicyisanInsurancecontract,yourpolicyisprotected bytheFinancialServicesCompensationScheme(FSCS).Thisprovidescompensationintheeventan insurerceasestrading.ThisisonlyavailablewhenafirmisregulatedbytheUK’sfinancialwatchdog the FCA.

Whileothercompaniesmayenforceatime/mileagewaitingperiod,withClick4Warrantyyouareprotected fromdayone*,soifaninsuredcomponentisfoundtobefaultyvalidclaimswillbeauthorised,evenfor wear and tear. *LIMITATION: In the unlikely event in the first 30 days you make a claim under ECU, airconditioning, or the electrical system, then there is an

early claim excess of 50%. This doesn’t apply after 30 days or to any other listed components.

Servicingrequirementsaresimple.Ifyoudon’thaveproofofservicebyavatregisteredgarageinthelast 12months,ornoservicehistoryatall,justensureaserviceiscompletedwithin21daysor500miles (whicheverissooner).Soonerratherthanlaterasaclaimwillnotbeaccepteduntilthishasbeendone. Afterthat,justcontinuetofollowtheserviceschedule.Wedon’tinsistonanexpensivefranchiseddealer serviceeither,youcaneitherfollowthemanufacturersservicerequirementsorthealternativefivepoint serviceschedule.

Thesafetyofourpolicyholdersisparamount,sowedon’tinsistyouhavetowaittobreakdowntosubmit aclaim;ifaninsuredcomponentisfoundtobefaultyduringroutinemaintenanceorMOT,validclaims will be authorised.

Ascomprehensiveasourpoliciesare,theydon’tcovereverything.Obviousexclusionsarebatteries, wheels;tyres;exhausts;catalyticconverters;andwornoutclutches&brakes.Aswellasdamageto bodyworkorpaintwork;glassandheadlights.Alsosomeelectricalitemsmaynotbecoveredsuchas: aerials;batteries;andmicrophones&loudspeakers.Andgoeswithoutsaying,likeallotherwarranties,we don’tcoverpre-existingorknownfaults.

11.6Vehicleswhichareownedtemporarily,permanentlyorinthecustodyorcontrolofabusinesssetuptosellorservice motorvehicles.

11.7ThesubjectingoftheVEHICLEtoaloadgreaterthanthatpermittedbythemanufacturer’srecommendations.

11.8 Vehiclesthatareorhavebeenusedforhireorreward,asataxi,selfdrivehire,byadrivingschool,commercialdelivery purposessuchasdespatchordeliverycourier;withacarryingcapacityexceeding35cwt,servicevehicles(police,ambulanceetc), usedforanykindofcompetitivepurposes,offroaduse,customisedorfittedwithequipmentnotapprovedbythemanufacturer.

11.9 AncillarycomponentsorequipmentnotlistedunderPART(s)coveredsection.

11.10 BREAKDOWN or damage to PART(s)(whetherinsuredornot)causedbyorarisingfromoverheating,corrosion,frost,water, freezingliquids,abuse,oxidisation,nothavingtheVEHICLEservicedinlinewiththeconditionsofthisPOLICY, not maintaining the VEHICLE as set out in the SERVICING HANDBOOK,blockages,buildupofcontaminants,sludgeorsilt,orotherforeignorwaste matterthathaspreventedthePART(s)fromworkingproperly,thegradualreductioninoperatingperformancecommensuratewith theageandmileagecoveredbytheVEHICLEincludingbutnotlimitedtothegraduallossofenginecompressionnecessitatingthe repairofvalvesorrings,gradualincreaseinoilconsumptionduetonormaloperatingfunctions.

11.11 Damage to an insured PART(s)causedbyBREAKDOWNofexcludedPART(s),anyformofconsequentiallosswhatsoever.

11.13RoutineadjustmentsandserviceitemsthathavenotsufferedaBREAKDOWN andaresimplyreplacedatthetimeofservice orMOTincludingbutnotlimitedtoairfilters,antifreeze,batteries,belts,brakediscsanddrums,brakepads,brakeshoes,bulbs, condenser,distributorcap,drums,exhaustsystemincludingcatalyticconverter,fanbelts,filterparts,fluids,high-tensionleads, points,rotorarm,sparkplugs,tyres,wiperbladesandanyotherpartslistedwithinthemanufacturer’svehicleSERVICING HANDBOOK.

11.14RepairingorreplacingPART(s)whichtheADMINISTRATOR believeswerefaultyorcouldhavebeenidentifiedbyasuitably qualifiedengineerasbeingfaultybeforethisPOLICY started.

11.15AnyclaimthatfallswithinthescopeofYOURRoadTrafficInsurance(motorinsurancepolicycoveringtheVEHICLE).

11.16 Investigatoryorremedialworkcommencedbeforeauthorisationby US.

11.17 BREAKDOWNordamagecausedbytheuseofincorrectfuel,oil,lubricant,coolantoranyotherfluid.

11.18 Lossordamagewherethemilometerhasbeentamperedwith,alteredordisconnected.

11.19Repair,replacement,loss,damageorliabilitycoveredbyanyotherwarranty,guaranteeorgoodwillsettlement,components subjecttorecallorrepairorreplacementbythemanufacturerorattributabletoamanufacturer’sdesigndefect.

11.20Anyexternaloilleaksotherthanthoseoilleaksthatarespecificallycovered.

11.21 Faults,alterations,repairs,modifications,replacements,damageorconsequentiallossarisingfrompoorworkmanship,faulty PART(s),errors,viruses,omissions,faultsinanyapplicationorsystemssoftwareduetothe VEHICLE’soperatingsystems’failureto recognise any date change.

11.22 Burntorworn-outclutchpartsandthebuild-upofcarbondeposits(includingburntorcarbonisedvalvesandremoving carbondeposits).

11.23 Anyliabilityfordeath,bodilyinjuryorlossofordamagetopropertyotherthantheinsuredcomponentsorlossofuseorany consequentiallossofwhatsoevernature.

11.24CostsincurredpriortoYOU being issued with a claims authorisation number.

11.25 ClaimsarisingduetononcompliancewithParagraph14.

11.26 If YOUmakeavalidclaimagainstthisPOLICY for BREAKDOWN of PART(s)listedunderenginemanagement(ecu),air conditioningandelectricalsystemwithin30daysof INCEPTION then YOUwillberequiredtopayanearlyclaimEXCESSof50%and the ADMINISTRATOR reservestherighttodirectorredirectaclaimtooneoftheirapprovedrepairersinorderforrepairstobe completed.ThisearlyclaimEXCESSdoesnotapplyafter30daysortoanyotherPART(s)coveredbythis POLICY.

12: HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

Claimsareprocessedentirelybyphone,ensuringafast,effectiveandsimpleclaimsprocedure.Wherever possible,toavoidYOURbeingoutofpocket,WE will settle authorised claims directly with the REPAIRER.

Please ensure YOUfollowtheclaimsprocedure,ifYOU do not, WEmaynotpayYOUR claim.

STEP ONE: NOTIFY US TelephonetheADMINISTRATOR on 0871 384 1168, the ADMINISTRATOR will make a note of YOURclaimandadviseYOU of the location of YOUR nearestapprovedREPAIRER.

IMPORTANT: In order for UStopaytheapprovedREPAIRER directly, YOU(nottheREPAIRER)mustnotifytheADMINISTRATOR of YOUR claim. ThismustbedonebeforeYOUgivepermissiontoa REPAIRERtocarryoutanyfaultfindingorremedialwork.Notificationfroma REPAIRERofapossibleclaimwillnotbeacceptedby US or the ADMINISTRATOR.

STEP TWO: CONTACT THE REPAIRER Book YOUR VEHICLE in with the REPAIRERandgiveYOURpermissiontocarryoutanyfaultfinding/diagnosisordismantling necessary.

STEP THREE: REPAIRER OBTAINS AUTHORITY Once YOUR VEHICLE, SCHEDULEandservicerecordshavebeenhandedtotheREPAIRER they will contact the ADMINISTRATOR to requestapprovalforrepairs.

STEP FOUR: AUTHORITY FOR CLAIM VALUE If YOURclaimisaccepted,anauthorisationnumberwillbeissuedtotheREPAIRERfortheamountthatwillbepaidunderthis POLICY. YOU areresponsibleforpayinganyamounttheREPAIRER chargesoverandabovetheauthorisedamount.

STEP FIVE: PAYMENT OF THE CLAIM Oncompletionoftherepairs,theREPAIRERmustsubmitaninvoicedirectlytotheADMINISTRATOR.Theinvoicemustclearlyshow theauthorisationnumbergiven,detailsofwhoWEshouldpayandcontainfulldetailsoftherepairs,includingdetailsofallPART(s) used,labourandVAT.The ADMINISTRATOR may also need to see YOURoriginalserviceinvoices. Theauthorisationnumberwillonlybeeffectivefor90daysfromthedateitwasissuedandnopaymentswillbemadeinrespectof theauthorisationnumberaftertheexpiryofthe90dayperiod.

TO ALLOW YOUR CLAIM TO BE DEALT WITH EFFICIENTLY PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING POINTS. 1. Check YOURpolicytypecoversthePART(s)whichhavecaused the BREAKDOWN. 2. Call the ADMINISTRATORatthefirstopportunityifYOUbelieveYOU may need to make a claim. 3.DonotasktheREPAIRER to notify US or the ADMINISTRATOR of a claim, this must be done by YOUthepolicyholder. 4.Ifarepairisstartedwithoutanauthorisationnumberthecostswillbe YOURresponsibilityandwillautomaticallyinvalidateanyclaimunderthisPOLICY. 5. Please ensure YOUprovideYOUR SCHEDULEandservicerecordstotheREPAIRER.

USE OF OWN REPAIRER If YOU choose to nominate YOUR own REPAIRER, YOU (not the REPAIRER) must notify the ADMINISTRATOR of YOUR claim. This must be done before YOU give permission to the REPAIRER to carry out any fault finding or remedial work. Neither the ADMINISTRATOR or US accept notification from a REPAIRER of a possible claim. YOU are required to ensure the REPAIRER is VAT registered and that they follow OUR claims procedures. WE will pay up to a reasonable REPAIRERS retail price for PART(s), up to the labour rate of OUR approved REPAIRERS as stated on the website and the standard ICME (Institute of Chartered Mechanical Engineers) repair times. Please note that YOU will need to pay for the repair and claim the cost back from the ADMINISTRATOR.

13: EMERGENCY REPAIRS

If YOUfindYOURSELFinthesituationofhavingtocarryoutrepairsinanemergencysituation,such as when YOUR VEHICLEisattendedtobytheAAorotherrecoveryorganisation,asaresultofa BREAKDOWNatatimewhentheclaimsofficeisclosed,thenYOUshould:

19: NON-DISCLOSURE OF FACTS

YOUshoulddeclareallmaterialfactsthatmayaffectOURdecisiontoacceptYOUR VEHICLEforcover. If YOU are in any doubt about what was material then YOU should declare it. Failure to disclose the correct information at the time YOUappliedforcovermayinvalidateYOUR POLICY and may be considered fraudulent.

Selling YOUR car with this POLICYmayassistinitssale.TorequestatransferofYOUR POLICY contact the ADMINISTRATOR, subject to OUR expresspriorapprovalandinOURabsolutediscretionandprovidingno claimshavebeenmadeorattemptedtobemadeagainstYOUR POLICY, the balance of YOUR POLICY may betransferredtoanewprivateowner.Therewillbeafeeof£25.00asacontributiontowardsthecostsof transferring YOUR POLICY. YOUR POLICY may not be transferred if YOUR VEHICLE is sold to a motor dealer or trader and will be automatically cancelled on such a sale.

26: COMPENSATION SCHEME

If the INSURER cannot meet their obligations YOUR POLICYiscoveredbytheFinancialServices CompensationScheme(FSCS).YOUcangetmoreinformationaboutthecompensationscheme arrangements from the Initial Disclosure Document.
