Journey planning• Journey planning incorporates the conduct of formal risk
assessment and definition of the value of proposed journeys to ensure that all identified hazards are managed.
• The prime objective of journey planning is to enhance the safety of all deliveries by identifying the hazards associated with each journey. As a consequence, it may be possible to reduce the driver’s risk exposure by minimizing the number of journeys or maximizing the efficiency of each journey.
• The key component of journey planning is to conduct a journey assessment, the complexity of which is determined by the risk of existing hazards and routes.
• Look at what times you pass schools ,etc these are high risk
