Sentinel Drilling Safety Float Valve Designed to Replace Outdated, Faulty

Drilling Floats

Historically, with standard drilling floats or NRVs the fluid flow path is always across the sealing surface compromising the

integrity of the sealing surface after prolonged use.


DSFV is open during drilling or circulating operations DSFV closes when a fluid and/or gas flows up the drill string at a rate of

3-7 gal/min and a 7 psi pressure differential across the valve Flow and differential pressure actuate the ball valve to close and isolate

pressure/flow below the valve. Maximum differential pressure across the valve is 10,000 psi Able to operate in temperatures up to 450 deg./F
