On Friday, September 5, 2014, Dress for Success Indianapolisand PNC Bank will present the 12th annual Stepping Out In Stylefundraising event in downtown Indianapolis at the JW Marriott! It will be a night of high fashion, great food, critical fundraising andloads of fun! The evening includes a cocktail reception sponsoredby Bedel Financial Consulting, Inc., dinner, fashion show andan after party sponsored by Citizens Energy Group. Artwork forthis year's event was created by Heather Stamanov. The Bedel Financial Consulting, Inc. cocktail reception begins at5:30 p.m., followed by dinner, fashion show and the CitizensEnergy Group after party. During the cocktail reception, guests canpurchase tickets for the Grand Prize Drawing, bid on fabulous itemsthrough the Mainstreet silent auction, and try their hand atthe Diamond Dig, sponsored by Aronstam Fine Jewelers! Guestscan then join us at the after party to visit with friends and meetour models, artist and sponsors for the evening. Dress for Success Indianapolis will welcome community leaders

They will be wearing unique clothing fromupscale local boutiques and walking the catwalk escorted byesteemed members of the Indianapolis Fire Department.Connie Bond Stuart, PNC Bank Regional President, will grace therunway this year as our Honorary Chair, while Julia Moffitt fromWTHR - Channel 13 returns as our emcee for the evening. DennySponsel, President of RJE Business Interiors, also returns as ourMatch Sponsor and will challenge our guests to raise more moneythan ever before to reach our $200,000+ fundraising goal.

PWG Hosts Annual Family Picnic

Each year, our Professional Women's Group (PWG) membersgather together with their families for our annual Family Picnic.Held this year atGarfield Park,about 55 peopleenjoyed greatfood prepared bythe members aswell as games anda visit from theIndianapolis FireDepartment forthe kids inattendance! PWG member,Crystal Marshallorganized thisyear's event with the help of our volunteers: Kathy Robinson, LizJones, Ashley Floyd, and Anna Saylor.

Dress for Success IndianapolisHonored With Sisterhood Award

Each year, a Dress for Success Indianapolis staff member attendsthe Dress for Success Worldwide conference where affiliates fromaround the globe gather toshare, learn and grow. Thisyear's conference was held inBoston, and attended by ourAssociate Director, AndreaCowley. At the end of eachconference a banquet is heldand awards are given torecognize excellence across ournetwork of affiliates. This year,we were the proud recipients of The Sisterhood Award. This isan especially meaningfuldesignation as we werenominated by our sister affiliatesacross the globe! As anorganization, we strive to be ashelpful as possible to otheraffiliates and truly believe that we are stronger together. Wecouldn't be more proud, or honored, by this special award!

Board Of Directors ChangesAugust marked the addition of new Board officers as well as theaddition of four new Board members. Our new Board officersinclude: President-Elect: Jill Grossman and Secretary: MaryJovanovich. Michelle Shwery will remain as Board President foranother year. New members of the Dress for Success IndianapolisBoard of Directors include: Adrienne Busby, Bali Heir, Susan Hoferand Jim Wark. We look forward to their leadership!

Send One Suit Week 2014A Great Success

A huge THANK YOU to the hundreds of women and men who madeSend One Suit - Week 2014 such a great success! Together withHarrison College and Classic Cleaners, we were able to collectover 10,000 garments and over $6,500 in monetary donations!This one week will help provide over 1,300 women with theappropriate attire for their interviews and workplaces.
