Last month I visit the SahastraDwar Hotel, India. I went there for my vacation. I heard

about the hotel that this is the dream hotel for everyone so I want to see that what is in this

hotel? Why people say that here Dream comes true.

Hotel

It’s a seven star hotel in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (Central India). Hotel is in 6.250 SquareKilometre. There were 300 rooms in the hotel and the hotel has 3 Floors. I heard about this

hotel that in the whole hotel there are thousand doors (including all). That’s why they gave

it the name SahastraDwar Hotel . People told me that it is the Mixture of the Technology,

Architecture, and the Culture.

Enjoy and fly with your Dreams.

EntranceNow I am starting my journey to the hotel. When I reach to the hotel the first impression

was the main Gate. I was surprise to see the architecture of the Gate it was great. On the top

of the gate there was a big Lotus Statue and below the statue there was a Sanskrit Slogan

“Athithi Devo Bhavah” and both side of the gate there were the statues of two ladies in the

form of Namaste. That was the first Gate.

After that there was a second Gate with the statues of two Lions. After that I saw two

statues on each gate, on third gate statues of Elephants, on fourth gate statues of Peacocks,

on the fifth gate statues of Swans, on the sixth gate statues of Dolphins and on the seventh

gate statues of Angels.

They told me that each statue is related to the slogan of the hotel. They told me the

meaning of each statue;Namaste Form represents “Welcome”

Lions represent “Royalty”

Elephants represent “Luxury”

Peacocks represent the “Beauty”

Swans represent “Love”

Dolphins represent “Enjoyment”

Angels represents “Dreams”

After the Gates there was a Big Fountain made By Crystal glass, at the night in the dim

light its look like the fountain of stars. When I reach to the hotel Entrance of the hotel there

were six ladies they had Aarti thali, garland of the flowers, Flowers and the rose water.

They welcomed me with the traditional way. Bellman took my luggage and gatekeeper opened the gate for me. I was walking on the red carpet and feeling like a King.

Front GardenFront Garden of the hotel was very beautiful and decorated by different type and colour of

Flowers. The boundary of the garden was decorated by seven lines of different colours of

flowers. There were violent flowers in the first line; In second line there were blue flowers;

In third line there were sky blue flowers; In fourth line there were green flowers; In fifth

line there were yellow flowers; In sixth line there were orange flowers and In seventh line

there were Red flowers. The Boundary of Garden was look like the Rainbow. There were

so many other designs in the garden which were incredible.



LobbyWhen I entered in the hotel I was surprised to see the interior of the Lobby, like a palace.

Lobby was very huge. At the Left side there was the reception Desk and at the Right side

there was the Concierge Desk.

After that I saw a big Bowl of water with the floating-candles and the Flowers in the centre

of the Lobby. After that I saw the sitting area both side of the Bowl. The furniture had great

artwork. Next I saw the stairs in the shape of ‘Y’, joint with first floor from both sides withred Carpet on the stairs. There were six lifts near the sitting area, three each side.

There were so many Famous Paintings in the lobby. I saw the Different type of Crystal

Lighting on the roof and walls. Floor was completely covered by Carpets.

After that I went to the Reception Desk to complete my other formalities. The Reception

staffs were very good at their work. They complete the check in procedure in 90 seconds.

RoomsIn this hotel they divide the rooms according to the services and themes.

Superior Rooms: These rooms were gracefully styled in 200 sq feet, with in all themes

and styles.

Deluxe Rooms: These rooms were also styled in every themes and styles in 300 sq feet and

more facilities than Superior Rooms.

Luxury Rooms: These Rooms are more luxuries than Deluxe Rooms and in 400 to 600 sq

feet, with in all themes and styles. Luxury rooms were with the separate living and

bedroom.

Suites: Suites were also styles with separated living room, Bedroom and dining area 600 to

1080 sq feet. Suites were also divided according to services, style and themes.

Group or family Rooms: These rooms were well decorated in 450 to 1000 sq feetaccording to the services.

Party or Marriage Halls: These halls were very Big, well styled and perfect for any party.

These Rooms and suites were divided according to the themes.

Sea theme: In this theme rooms and suites were decorated with fish tanks, Bed was look

like a big Pearl Oyster, phone were look like Conch Shell, whole room were decorated by

the seashell and tank were fill with different type of fishes. Lighting in the room was giving

the effect of sun light under the water.



Jungle theme: In this theme the rooms were decorated by the trees, leaves and grasses.

Bed was look like the bed of grasses and leaves. In the room there were the statues of

animals and the drum music in the background music.

Rainbow theme: In this theme the rooms were decorated with cotton clouds and prisms,

which use to give the effect of rainbows. Bed was look like the cloud.

Kings theme: In this theme the rooms were decorated like the Ancient king’s room.

Rooms were decorated by silk cloths and other stuffs.

Modern theme: In this theme rooms were decorated by modern style and furniture.

Flower theme: In this theme rooms were decorated by flowers and furniture looked like

flowers.

Colour themes: In these themes rooms were painted by different colour combinations.

SpasAyurvedic Spa: In this spa they use the ayurvedic elements.

Flower Spa: In this spa they use different type of flowers.

Mud Spa: In this spa they use the different type of Mud.

Panchamrit Spa: In this spa they use Cow Milk, Yoghurt, Honey, Sugar and Ghee

(Clarified Butter).

Outside AttractionsSpring themed water Pool: This was a big pool like a Pond. There was a big model of a

rock and from it the water was falling down and it was giving the look of a Water Spring.

There were so many trees around the Pond. The whole seen was looking like a Water

Spring in the jungle.

Theme of Mountain and Snow falling: In these themes there were so many big models of

Mountains and caves. Where the hotel was using the hidden snow machine for snow

falling.

Golf Course: There was a big golf Course.



Adventure Park: Adventure Park was made for children. In this Adventure Park there

were 49 rides, including the 5 roller coasters and a huge choice of children’s favourite’s

rides. There was an amusement park. Other rides were Tilt-a-Whirl, Boardwalk Carousel

and Sky Wheel etc.

Restaurants: There were 11 Indian Restaurants in the whole hotel at different places. The

Famous North Indian Thali was also there and south Indian Dosa. Every type of Indian

food was available there.

Dress code: Dress code was also great there. Ladies Staff wore the Sari and for gents theformal Suit.

After that I met with the manager Mr. Rakesh Trivedi to know about the hotel and the

employees. I asked him that what type of qualities there staff should have, Then he give

me some Information.

Front office staff:

Front office staff should have the ability to sale the rooms.

Front office staff should have the ability to solve the problem.

A Front office employee should have the ability to make the co-ordination with

there fallows.

Front office staff should have the ability to create a good image of hotel in front of

the costumers.

Front office staff should have a high sense of personal grooming, Hygiene, Self confidence, communication Skills, Physical Fitness and quick decision making

abilities.

Front office staff should have the information about there work and related to the

work.

Front office staff should have the ability to handle the responsibilities.

Housekeeping staff:

Housekeeping staff should have a high sense of personal grooming, Hygiene,

Honesty.

Housekeeping staff should be polite and charm.



Housekeeping staff should keep quality ensures in mind.

Housekeeping staff should Physical fit.

Housekeeping employee should have the ability to make the co-ordination with

there fallows.

Housekeeping staff should have the ability to handle the responsibilities.

PMS: They use Property Management System for to manage there Property and accounts

In the PMS there are four softwares, which are also called 4R’s.

Reservations management: This software is uses to check the availability and

forecasting, to check and store the Reservation records, to conform the

Reservation, to check and see the Rooms prices.

Rooms management: This software uses to check Room status, to register the

guest, for the room assignments, to check the room rate information.

Records and Accounts management: This software helps to manage the

records and accounts; to create and manage guest Bills, Tracking the

Transaction. Revenue management: This software helps to analyze the Revenue, to

operating the statistics, to analyze the financial activities, and to check the guest

history.

After that I met to the owner of the hotel, Mr. Ravi Bharadwaaj and his wife Mrs

Marigold Bharadwaaj. Mr. Ravi Bharadwaaj is the great achiever in hospitality industry.

I asked them that who gave them the idea of such a beautiful hotel?

Than Mr. Bharadwaaj said that his wife gave him inspiration for this hotel because this

hotel was her dream. After that she told me that her dream was to combine the all

adventures at one place. She told me that they will come with more themes in future.

She told me that she want to open some budget hotel for all type of people. I asked themabout their experience and their wishes for the world, which I don’t have any words to

explain.

After meeting them I truly found that SahastraDwar Hotel is the hotel of everyone’s dream.

The dream nobody is not able to fulfil because of busy schedule and the burden of work.

But here they can live in there dream.

“Welcome, With the Royalty and the Luxury, With the beauty and Love from Heart to

Enjoy and fly with your Dreams” is the perfect line to describe this hotel because this is not

a hotel this is the sky of everyone’s dreams.
