Harriet Group has launched a comprehensive entrepreneurship initiative called Dream Big DreamS. Dream Big Dreams is focused on creating a foundation of entrepreneurial support that encourages and empowers all who DARE TO DREAM.

1.THE EA ENTREPRENUER MAGAZINEDREAM BIG DREAMS will launch the Regions first ever monthly magazine focused exclusively on The EA Entrepreneur. This Publication will focus exclusively on creating a platform through which East African Entrepreneurs can celebrate our desire to aspire to our full potential and empower all who dare to dream to appreciate that we all have the capacity within to take the first steps on a Journey of self discovery and in so doing we expose the diversity of public and private support services that ensure we will never walk the journey alone.

2. A NATIONAL ENTREPRENEUR COMPETITION- THE K-FACTORDream Big Dreams will also launch details of a National Entrepreneur’s Competition to be promoted across Schools, Colleges, and Universities and across the Business community. Modeled loosely on the prestigious Dragons Den / Shark Tank and the Global talent show the X Factor, K-FACTOR will be a National competition in which Teams from across the Nation will be encouraged and empowered

to develop and Pitch their Business propositions to a Panel of Business Angles in the LIONS DEN. Unlike existing shows which simply seek to match the “Pitch” with an Investor, K- FACTOR has been designed to reflect all that is unique about succeeding in developing your business in East Africa.

3.THE ENTREPRENEUR SHOW AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXPOThe Entrepreneurs Show and Business Development Expo will be the 1st EVER event of its kind to be held in East Africa. It will be take place at a National Venue in Nairobi mid- year and we believe it will capture the mode of the Economy and establish itself as the leading economic / business development exhibition / conference in the East African region. Built around a very substantial Exhibition of Business Development Support services spanning the entire spectrum of functional support services required to support the development of any emerging or growing business. The Exhibition will position under one roof the myriad of functional support services that any emerging or developing business requires to support it in its growth phase.

Dream Big Dreams seek to MAKE AN IMPACT across East Africa and leave a trail of inspiration and empowerment in our wake. When gifted the opportunity to BRING the Boot Camp to the Campus, we immediately saw the potential to dramatically enhance our capacity to REACH the widest possible market in the least inconvenient way and hence the concept of ENTREPRENEURS BOOT CAMP ON TOUR was born.

Over the coming months, Dream Big Dreams will reach out to Campus across the Nation and engage with faculties and create the environments within campus such that the maximum number possible of Students who may benefit from exposure to the concept of Entrepreneurship Empowerment can be reached. Our Strategic Goal is to establish in conjunction with Universities and Colleges a Network of events that allow us to reach students in their Campus environment in the most realistic manner

possible.

The “FIRST” of a number of Entrepreneurship Boot Camp on Tour project’s will reach over 20 Schools commencing Mid May inspiring and empowering over 3,000 students across the Nation.

In addition to the Boot Camp initiative, Dream Big Dreams are focused on a Strategic Agenda to empower and inspire students to embrace the concept of entrepreneurship as a catalyst for potential growth across the region. We want to create a platform through which students already infused with the concept of entrepreneurship through their engagement with Academia can begin the process of transition to the Corporate world clear in the knowledge that they will never be forced to travel that journey alone.

The Entrepreneurs Boot Camp on Tour will bring a totally new dimension to our shared vision to inspire and empower all who Dare to Dream .

About the Bootcamp

WHO ATTENDEDThe inaugural boot camp was for students over the age of 17, mature students, candidates in employment or those already in business who seek to explore their full Business Potential. The agenda was grounded in reality and practical steps that take an Entrepreneur from “the Idea” to a fully fledged Business and we will explore many practical issues related to first impressions, business protocol, the role of mentors and partners. We refined the “Pitch” and explored in detail the route map to implementation. We networked with like-minded entrepreneurs, speed date with experienced mentors, intense hands on break- out sessions, a real get down to the detail boot camp that will inspire and empower in equal measure.

FOR THOSE WHO PERCIEVED THIS FIRST BOOT CAMP TO BE BENEFICIAL, WE HAVE CREATED AN ADDITIONAL 4 SPECALISED BOOT CAMPS SPREAD OVER THE NEXT SIX MONTHS, EACH A LOGICAL PROGRESSION ON THE ROAD TO FULL POTENTIAL. •The Entrepreneur Sales / Marketing Boot Camp•The Entrepreneur Communications / PR and Social Media Boot Camp•The Entrepreneur Finance Boot Camp•The Entrepreneur Leadership to Full Potential Boot camp

After the 1st event, candidates who perceive a benefit in continuing to

engage will be invited to undergo any /all (as they see fit) of the remaining Boot Camps in the Program while concurrently availing of the Dream Big Dreams Mentor assigned to support them on their Entrepreneurial Journey.

The Inaugural Bootcamp The Team

Dream Big Dreams hosted our inaugural Entrepreneurs Boot Camp at our Karen head Quarters in March and to be frank we were overwhelmed by the response with the event oversubscribed by over 200%. That said, it’s not the quantity but the quality and by any standards in the world, what an amazing day. Over 200 students representing 15 different Academic Institutions stunned the presenters. This was a learning experience like no-other. A COLLAGE of sights / sounds / colours. A sense of the diversity of background, culture and passion that makes Kenya one of the most magical places on earth was evident in everything that happened that day. Awakened from slumber by an astonishing display from the KING of Kenya Rap, the students quickly regrouped such that the legendary Collo was left to stare in astonishment as the BOOT CAMP ROCKED. The chemistry was electric and set the tone for a day that left many speechless.

Kenya is alive and on fire, the future is secure for so long as the lecturers and those who influence the future of our children embrace the concept of Entrepreneurship. Dream Big Dreams management and staff can only stand in AWE at the personal commitment shown by individual teachers and School administrators who have created the environment within which students truly aspire to full potential. A day of excitement, Inspiration, empowerment. A day where WE ALL LEARNT and a day when you come to appreciate all that is wonderful about our culture and our future. There was no LECTURING, instead an unprecedented interactive engagement

that truly lifted the veil of Entrepreneurship and left all breathless at the sheer sense of excitement that develops when you realise the vision for a better future for all is shared and attainable.
