Detailed Methodology
• Data collection for this poll was conducted on behalf by the InternationalRepublican Institute’s Center for Insights in Survey Research by Global ResearchInsights (GRI) between August 8 and September 20, 2019.
• Data was collected using a multi-stage stratified probability sample through in-person, in-home interviews. The sample was stratified by province and by urbanand rural locations. The sampling frame was based on the Commission électoralenationale indépendante (Independent National Electoral Commission - CÉNI)elector registration statistics (RFE 2016-2018), administrative units as per 1984Census, and urbanity as per UNICEF/UNDP data.
• The sample consists of 2,961 respondents aged 18 and older and isrepresentative of voting-age adults nationally.
• Random walk was used to select the appropriate household, and the Kish Gridwas used to select respondents 18 years and older.
• The achieved sample skewed female and was post-weighted for gender andurbanity based on gender statistics from Institut National de la Statistique,République Démocratique du Congo statistics as well as reliable UN data sourcesfor urbanity.
• The margin of error is plus or minus 1.8 percent at the mid-range with aconfidence level of 95 percent. The response rate was 80 percent.
• The information in this report has been compiled in accordance withinternational standards for market and social research methodologies. Figures incharts and tables may not add up to 100 percent due to rounding.
