Prerequisites
ThisisabasicguideforcongregationswithFibreconnections.Wehavecompiledthisstep-by-stepguideaccordingtothesettingsadvertisedbySparkNewZealand.
Belowisalistoftheconfigurationdetailsthatthisguideisbasedoff.Beforebeginningthisprocess,pleaseobtainalistofconfigurationsettingsfromyourISPandadjustthisguideasneeded.
• Operatingmode:MDI/MDIX• PPPprotocol:PPPoE• PPPusername:[email protected]• PPPpassword:password• PPPauthtype:PAP• PPPmode:Alwayson(dialondemanddisabled)• Encapsulation:802.1Q• PCPmarking:0• VID(orVLAN):10• MTU:Autoor1500
Beforestartingthisstepbystepprocess,pleasepowerupyourrouterandconnectyourcomputertotheLAN1Ethernetport.DHCPisconfiguredontherouterbydefaultsoyouwillbeprovidedwithanewIPaddress.
ThefollowingconfigurationstepswillprovideyouwithanoptimizedconfigurationforyourKingdomHall.Thisprocesswill:
1. EnsurethatVattendanceVoIPtrafficisprioritized,allowingtheclearestsoundpossible.2. ProvideseparateSSID’sforAdministratorsandGuests(everyoneelse)toensurethatnetwork
trafficthatiscriticaltothemeetingisseparatedfromgeneraltraffic.3. Employabasicfirewallconfiguration

1 Inyourinternetbrowser,browsetoaddress“http://192.168.1.1”.Loginusingadmin/adminastheUsernameandPassword.

Note:Thisisconfiguringanunrestrictedadminnetwork.Theadminnetworkhasnorestrictionsinplaceandshouldonlybeprovidedtothosewhoneedit(ie:SoundDesk,etc).
