Dragons' Dark Moon Ritual of the Nightby: Athauliz "Dragon's Eye" Firestorm, July 2009, Updated: Oct 2009

( Please credit this work for where it is due! )

This Ritual is intended to be conducted on the night of a Dark Moon. It's purpose, as is the usual formany Dark Moon Rituals, is to help cleanse and remove obstacles to growth, and those negative influencesthat are often the source of pain, discontent, and distraction from our spiritual growth. This Ritual also callsupon the God AND Goddess Dragons as symbolic of the Balance of Creation and all things therein. Thebelief here is that both the Male and Female aspects are necessary for the continuation of the Cycle of Birth-Death-and-Rebirth of Life and the Creation. This, alone, makes this Ritual one of the few that recognizes theimportance of the balance of BOTH Male and Female in Nature.

    Materials:

    Usual Altar setup for a Dragon-Ritual plus;

1 Silver Candle, ( To represent the Goddess Dragon )1 Gold Candle, ( To represent the God Dragon )1 Black Candle, ( To use for Banishment and cleansing )

( Please Note: You can change Black for Silver, White for Gold, and Red for Black - you should change allthree colors at the same time. )

    Preparation:

Anoint the three candles ( Goddess, God, and Banishment ) with three drops of the Dark Moon Oil each,Meditation to clear the mind and enhance focus.( If desired and/or warranted. - This could also be a good time to build up some power too! )

    The Ritual:

( Before starting this Ritual, be sure all in attendance are aware that this Rite will involve calling inDragons and Dragon Spirits, in case there are those who are "leery" or uncomfortable around Dragons! Thisis VERY IMPORTANT as neglecting this sound advice can become the source of much trouble and tensionduring the Rite. )

Step 1: Perform the Circle Casting:

Light the Cinnamon Incense and waft or wave ( NOT "blow out" ) the flame out when it is ready to smolder.

Starting at the Eastern Quarter of the Circle, go around the Circle, Sunwise ( clockwise ), slowly whilewafting the incense in small Sunwise circles ( imagine building a "chain" around the Circle ) while chanting:

    " Wind and Fire,

So Clean and Hot,I Cleanse this Circle,So that I / We fear Not!

    I close it firm,I close it round,To remove all Evil,Wherever it's found!"

( Do the above until the Circle has been rounded once. )

" It is done! Blessed Be!"

    Group: " Blessed Be!"

With the Sea-Salt purified Water, start from the East Quarter and round the Circle Sunwise and lightly-sprinkle the Water while chanting:

" Earth and Water,Who be so pure,I seal this Circle,For all to be sure!

I cleanse and purify,All sparkling clean,To remove all Evil,So none to be seen!"

( Do the above until the Circle has been rounded once. )

Step 6: Presenting our pains, troubles, sorrows, and other negatives to the Dragons for their disposal.( Spiritual Cleansing for group service. )

Starting from the West and going reverse around the Circle:

A Priest/Priestess should now be prepared to anoint each of the participants with the anointing oil. Thenanoint the participant on the forehead with either the Goddess Dragon symbol or

the Pentagram ( if preferred for this Ritual ) while saying:

" May the God and Goddess Dragons protect you and care for you as their Child, for as long as you shall live. "

A second Priest/Priestess can hand out a piece of the Purple-colored paper and a pen or pencil( consecrated, if possible ) to each of the participants while saying:

" May the God and Goddess Dragons deliver you FROM that which pains and troubles you,for as long as you shall live. "

A third Priest/Priestess should light the Jasmine Incense and follow behind the other two. He/She should doa vertical, clockwise circle in front of the participant while saying:

" May the God and Goddess Dragons open your eyes and your heart, to the new beginnings you seek,

for as long as you shall live. "

When all of the Priests/Priestesses have rounded the Circle and blessed each participant, they are to placeall of the items they used back into their respective places about the Altar. Prepare the "Cauldron" thatshould be placed at the South-facing side of the Altar. ( Again if this possible due to space considerations. )

The Priest/Priestess will then say aloud:

" May I / We have the courage and strength to disavow,That which troubles me / us,That which is no longer of use to me / us,That which only hinders me / us,That which belongs in the forgotten-Past,That which no longer serves a higher-purpose,That which no longer sustains life,

I / We give to the Spirits of the Dragons my / our Troubles,That they may trouble me / us no longer!

May the Dragons' Will be my / our blessings!May the Dragons' Courage be my / our Strength!May the Dragons' Confidence be my / our Inspiration!May the Dragons' Wisdom be my / our Knowledge!

    Blessed Be!"

    Group: " Blessed Be!"

Have the participants quietly write down those troubles that each wishes to remove from his/her life. Eachparticipant should then fold the paper in half and then half again, and draw a Pentacle on the outside of thefolded paper. With the folded paper between both hands, Pentacle facing up, each participant shouldmeditate on each negative, one at a time, and imagine experiencing that negative feeling for the last time, before absorbing it into the folded paper.( This part of the Ritual may take a few minutes - with or without Guided Meditation ).

Let Me / Us be reminded of them not,So that I / We may grow spiritually,Without distraction,

This Ritual can be conducted in thepresence of those who are not antagonistic toward Dragons ( IE: "Dragonkin", Friends of, and those who arePriest hopefuls ). If there are ANY who fear Dragons or are otherwise uncomfortable in the presence ofDragons, those individuals may not wish to attend this Ritual, but instead, find another group doing adifferent Dark Moon Ritual more to their liking.
