Teaching
The concepts of my teaching philosophy have been acquired from those that have influenced me during the
course of my study and from my own experience. The primary goal is to build students' confidence, both in

themselves and in their knowledge of the subject matter. I believe that a student's ability to perform as an
engineer is highly dependent on his/her confidence and courage to apply the knowledge that has been
gained. I view my role in the teaching process as that of a well-informed guide. My teaching interests are
aerodynamics, high speed flows, propulsion systems and thermal fluids.

Research and Original Creative Work
The objective of my research has been to establish an internationally recognized program in experimental
aerodynamics and contribute to FSU's research activities.

Program of Research and/or Focus of Original Creative Work
The focus of my research is experimental aerodynamics and flow & noise control. This involves
high angle of attack aerodynamics, drag reduction techniques and flow and noise control of a
supersonic impinging jet. Another pillar of my research is designing and building
next-generation experimental facilities and engineering systems that can be used not only to meet
the needs of aerospace programs in the country but also to train engineers and scientists for the
next-generation.
