vAbout the ArtistJason Hanson

Artist, Illustrator, Designer...and all the Proverbial correlations both in and out of the box that can be made. Resides in Atlanta, GA, creatively evolving with each passing day.

Studio Art being his formal practice and Training, he received a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art and later earned another degree in Art Education, with focus on DBAE (Discipline Based Art Education) methodology. It was not long after he delved into the realms of the Digital Arts as well.

Long history of creating Art within the Fantasy and Sci-Fi Genres, with occasional interludes into more Abstract works, such as many of the Figurative Abstracts he has produced within the Traditional Watercolor Media over the years.

Influences range from a multitude of areas from literary works, cinema, music and of the various other Artists both old and new. When not creating Art, he likes spending time with his family, playing video games, and learning about new industry technologies.

“I love to create works that are not just visually interesting, but in hopes that even what is represented can take on something entirely different than intended to each viewer, much like looking at clouds, leaves in the trees, or inkblots can be perceived and felt differently.

There will always be an intent with my work, some more obvious with others more hidden, and hope that my works somehow can be seen for what they are...and perhaps what they could be while someone is observing them.” ~Jason

Mythos

The Draconus... mystical creatures from the Ancient Realm, spawned forth from the essence of the Stars themselves.Long ago birthed from the vastness of the Universe itself, and guardians of the various planes of the Worlds within.

Their legends are rooted deep in the Histories of the Lands, the Lore inherent and integral to many, handed down from those that have Witnessed them in awe, fear and wonder.

Each Draconus, bound to their brothers and sisters...entwined with a shared might, ferocity, and wisdom...but distinct and woefullyseparated by the Dawn of Creation unto the qualities they embody.

At times elusive, reclusive and nary a trace for existence to behold...and other times, when predator and prey mournfully meet and their Fate decided.

Hunted for their treasures. Hunted for their wisdom. Hunted for their allegiance. Hunted for their adoration in worship. The Draconus exist in Time, within both the Dark and Light realms of Life.

Ancient Beings of Creation, be their Spirit of Gods or of Daemons, their forms of Creatures made flesh or of mere wishful presence...The Draconus exist. From far, far back into Ancient Realms, to the future of Memory... The Draconus exist.

First Order, the Timeless Ones... creation of Origins, giving required essence to Draconus Existence.

Fourth Order, the Provincials... enmbued with the wonders of which they derive and protect.

Third Order, the Affluent Ones... encompassed of the abundant materials from the Worlds in which they were birthed alongside.

Second Order, the Elementals... embodiments of the pure forces of Nature integral to the Worlds they give Life.
