with life style and behavior pattern which are largely due to practices adopted in younger age. Hence students’ awareness about NCDs is an important prevention strategy

Objective

To study the awareness of common non- communicable diseases (NCDs) among intermediate school children in chiraigaon block, Varanasi.

Material & Method• Study type: School based cross sectional study

• Study area: Chiraigaon block, Varanasi.

• Study period : July - Aug 2010

• Study sample : Intermediate school children of 8 (out of 14+2) inter-colleges of

Chiraigaon block

• Tool: Pre-designed, closed ended questionnaire
