World Ene rgy Out look
y
World primary energy demand grows by 1.6% per year on average.
y Expected rise 45% to up to year 2030
y Global consumption of fresh water is doublingevery twenty years.
y The Earth's forest, freshwater and marineenvironments have reduced by 30% in thirty
yearsy Crude oil will last only for 40 yearsy Gas will last for 60 yearsy Coal will be finished in nearly 200 years
Have u thought of life without
oil and gas????

India's energy potential is rated the 3rd largest in the
world.
Country facing power shortages
Average Shortage 8%Peak Shortage 12%
Additional power required by 2012, 1 lakh MW
Approximately 8,00,000 crores investment

It is also one of the countries which consumes
electricity in one of the most inefficient manner.
Efficient use of electricity could result in saving of 23%
of what we consume. And we have a shortage of
12%.Means if we just use the electricity efficiently, we
could mitigate the shortage easily.

Indian Energy Sector Visionary & Eminent Expert..
y´The energy scene in this 21st century is going to see a major shift. Very soon, oil and gas will see its
finiteness. It is high time that we realize this factor and work towards the fuel of the future.

Energy conservation in India
Indian Govt has passed EC bill 2001 for the betterutilization of energy and conservation of the same.It is mandatory for the energy intensive sectors to gettheir Energy Audit conducted by the accreditedenergy auditors.
Bureau of Energy Efficiency(BEE): keeps watch onenergy consumption patterns develops norms forappliances etc
Also organizes different competitions, poster, slogancompetitions
Initiated Star rating System for all electricalappliances. In in 1-5 stars are allotted to productsdepending on their energy efficiency.5 star product means consumes least energy

R ecycling is an excellent way of saving energy
and conserving the environment.
1 recycled tin can would save enough energy topower a television for 3 hours.
1 recycled glass bottle would save enough energy to
power a computer for 25 minutes. recycled plastic
bottle would save enough energy to lit bulb for 3 hours.
70% less energy is required to recycle paper
compared with making it from raw materials.

We can contribute directly-
1. By using cloth/jute bags instead of plastic bags.
2. Using both side of paper.3. Using refills instead of buying a new cartridges/ pen,etc
4. By not wasting food.
5. R ecycle and reuse office supplies

While cooking put lids on the saucepans tokeep the heat in.
Buy energy saving light bulbs.
R eplace incandescent bulbs with Fluorescent
bulbs as they are 400 times energy efficient.
Switch off of lights when not required
Turn the heating down a notch by setting
timers.
Curb phantom electricity by.

Switch off! Don·t leave it on standby!
If you can see a lightlike this when the TV isoff, it is using almostas much energy as if itwas on!

Turn off tap while cleaning your teeth, shaving or
washing your face. You can waste up to 9 litres a
minute by just letting the water pour down thesink.
Take a short shower rather than a bath could save
you up to 400 litres a week. If you do have baths, justhalf fill them.
Only use the washing machine and the
dishwasher when you can put on a full load. It
wastes both water and energy to run only a half
full machine

Use adequate quantity of water rather than a steady flow
of water from the hose.
Use tap or tube nozzles to shut off while washing car / vehicles so that water
is not constantly running.
Fix any dripping tap, you can stop wastage of
90 liters a week

Instead of only talking aboutconserving energy.
Start conserving Energy«.
Energy Conservation is Must for Preservation of life,
Environment & Earth.
Manage Energy Well. To Avoid Damage & Hell.
