Quality Decision Making in Organizations under Uncertainty: A Study of Vancourver 2010 Winter
Olympics Security, Research and Creative Activity, The purpose of this research project is to address the determinants of quality decision-making in organizations. Thus, we examine the compounded effect of three distinct elements including committed intent (e.g., goal setting), an organization transformation function (i.e., modulation and controls), and expected outcomes (pluralism in decision criteria). This project addresses the problem of incommensurate goals by developing a multicriteria decision making approach by developing cases together with informants who were the primary decision makers for the security of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. As a Distinguished Winspear Visiting Scholar at the University of Victoria, BC.
