Dr. Joseph Colford received his Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from Seton Hall University. He was a school psychologist for 26 years in three different school districts before retiring in 2003. He worked for a year as a staff psychologist at Children's Specialized Hospital before moving onto higher education where he taught for one year at Caldwell University. His next stop was at Georgian Court University where he was a psychology professor and the director of the graduate program in school psychology for 15 more years; he retired again in May of

2019. Although retired from teaching, Dr. Colford is still active. He is the co-author of three books on crisis intervention. He holds a certification as a school psychologist and a license as a clinical psychologist in NJ. He currently sits on the Board of Governors for Prevent Child Abuse NJ and the Child Wellness Institute.
